The walks in the reserve can be quite challenging, but an iced coffee at the Oak Cafe after makes it all worth while.

We did the trail up to the waterfall late in the afternoon once it had cooled down a bit. Was still very hot and we used up all the water we took with us. Views were definitely worth the walk. We had a clear day and could see Sir Lowry's Pass and all along the coast.

There are 5 different trails which go from easy to tough and last between 2 and 7 hours. We did a 3 hour walk and loved the views and the peace. Just remember: proper walking shoes, water and sunscreen.

Lovely place for a stroll around the gardens and to capture some birds on camera. 2 to 3 hours here is a good time to take in a hike and enjoy the gardens and views. Ill be back..

We had a great time walking the trails and started with a small lunch. The scenic view and surroundings are special.

Lovely natural nature reserve, fabulous Sunday evening concerts in summer (you can take your own picnic) If you're in the area for a while you can buy a years membership to enter as many times as you like. They also have organised lead hikes for various levels of hiker.

A real Community event! For only R50 (less than 3GPB, $5 and 4Euro!) you get 2 hours of great music, in this case, a highly competent tribute to... More

This is really a hidden gem, go prepared to stay for the day. There is a little restaurant, but you can also take your drinks and snacks and sit under the oaks. The walks from the picnic area are varied. You can go short/medium and long walks. The children will love this reserve. There is an information building, which also... More
