RIP OFF!

Blue Rock is a place where fun friends and excitement all meet together. Great atmosphere and the water-sport facilities will definitely not disappoint. I can't wait for summer to visit Blue Rock again. Even though it's quite pricey to spend the day it is well worth it.

Blue Rock is a "must do". It is an old quarry filled with water where they run a cable ski resort. There is also mini paintball, foofie slide, rock jumping and a small swim section. Nice big lawns and a amphitheatre of steps for spectators to watch. A nice restaurant serves anything from coffee and cake to hearty meals. Great... More

I have just moved to Somerset West and have been twice this weekend with my two kids and their friends. It is an absolute pleasure to feel safe and secure and enjoy a relaxing day in a beautiful location. Wake boarding was great for the boys and the zip glider is excellent. We took our own picnic and paid for... More

I get that it costs money to operate an expensive security system and I also understand that Blue Rock operates a strictly seasonal business. BUT- At 50ZAR just to get into Blue Rock they are making a very clear statement as to who their target market is. I am a wakeboarder, and even though I own my own gear once... More

A true gem of a place if you have adrenaline junkie teenagers and want to be in with them too. This cable ski spot offers a variety of activities but everyone is keen on the wakeboards and i tried it and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restuarant and bar are a good place to hang out at if you are not... More

If you want to just go to the restaurant you do not need to pay the R50 entry fee it seems, but only need to show your slip on the way out. When we arrived the area was busy with many picnickers and people by the water. It seems like a great place to picnic and enjoy the water sports,... More

My wife and daughter chose our daughter's birthday party venue as Blue Rock. Email said picnic area is not charged for. We arrived and kids did zip line and paid to get in. That cost ZAR 820.00 Then onto wake boarding and that came to ZAR 1290.00 The kids sat in the picnic area, under shade supplied and was told... More

Fantastic venue to spend the day! It would be even better if Blue Rock can cater for a shuttle to take the patrons to the slide (which is at the entrance gate) – as it’s a bit difficult to trek up to the line and still zip down with slippers. As well, depending on where you camp for the day... More
