The boat trip is a must! The deli has a wide choice if you want to picnic on the grass and their fish and prawns are reasonably priced. The wine is so good we never know what to choose after the free tasting. I love just visiting on a Saturday and relaxing on the deck. Being near the river and... More

We recently visited Viljoensdrift Wine Farm to do the cruise on their double decker boat to cruise the Breede River, they have a fantastic deli there to buy a picnic box which you can take on the boat and eat while you cruise but as it was a bit early my husband and I elected to do the cruise and... Fill your basket with delicacies before commencing on a 50 minute boat trip on the Breede River. Relaxing and beautiful scenery.

This is a must stop while in Robertson. The wine tasting room and deli are on the banks of the Breede River amoungst the vineyards and a bonus is the river cruise which one can book through the front desk. The cost at present is R50 per person which includes the river cruise and a free wine tasting - great... More

No entry fee, superb location amongst the vineyards on the banks of the Breede River! A sublime experience starting with wine tasting, putting together a picnic basket from the deli selection produce from the local area and sailing on the barge along the river...

This place was referred to us by a few locals and tourist info.... as a great place to have a picnic and relax... this place was terrible... i expected to see ample trees with benches under trees wide open spaces next to the river... these were about 8 wooden bench/tables under umbrellas.. we opted for the platter - was too... Beautiful river setting for a picnic. There are boat rides but make sure to book as it does get very busy especially on peak tourist season. There is no entrance fee and you can pack your own picnic and enjoy the lovely seating area. There is a takeaway type of restaurant where you can buy deli foods as well as... More

With our wine tasting, the guy who helped us was more snotty with his comments and a rather put off, their Muskapino is great and would recommend a try. After being vaguely... More
