We saw an advert in a local magazine for this wine estate. It is fabulous.....we did lunch then wine tasting and then took the river cruise. It's such a beautiful spot, great service, very economical and the Brut Cava was exceptional!

A most relaxing cruise while enjoying the yummy food sold on the premises. One elderly member of staff could have been a bit more welcoming but but her cool attitude was more than made up by the welcoming smiles of the rest of the staff. On balance, a pleasant experience that comes highly recommended.

Firstly I made a booking based on the article in the Country Life Magazine, which I informed the lady who took my booking, I was told that there were two options with regards to time i.e. 12h00 and 14h00. On arrival, my booking was not reflected but they assured me they could still accommodate our party of 4. What they... More

Viljoensdrif is a very beautiful venue and the boat cruise was great, we enjoyed the wine tasting however the staff at the reception and deli was unfriendly and unhelpful.

We visited the farm for the sole purpose of enjoying the river cruise. We purchased some food at the onsite deli and enjoyed a pleasant hour on the river, watching the bird life and enjoying our picnic lunch. As we visited in winter, I was very grateful for the complimentary blanket. It was a very pleasant experience.

This wine farm has worked out how to pull in the punters. The wines are nice enough, nothing totally outstanding, but the attraction is the boat rides on the Breede River with picnic lunches etc. The crowds flock in buying their picnic foods at the deli, bottles of wine and champagne for the boat ride etc. There are even toddler... We did a wine tasting, which was most disappointing. Hardly a sip in the glass, and served by a miserable lady. When saying how wonderful this was, her response was, "yes on your side of the table!". Disappointing as we had guests from Ireland with us. We chose to purchase lunch from the deli and enjoy a picnic with wine... More

We were assisted by a very knowledgeable young lady that lead us through the various wines on offer. She also shared information on other going's on in the area. Being from Cape Town this is helpful for your next trip to the area. Will definitely be back as the wines are spectacular. A taste for everyone !!

This is one of the few wine estates that offer a wonderful cruise... What could be better than soaking up the views over a snack and a glass of fine wine!

You can spend a good few hours here. Wine tasting, choose your picnic from the deli, and then enjoy a river cruise
