Description: Hennie Boshoff, acclaimed artist and curator, conducts on most evenings...
Hennie Boshoff, acclaimed artist and curator, conducts on most evenings what is called a magical show tour of Villa Kruger, the Art House and Sculpture Garden (featuring archetypes from the Tarot) that he created, assisted by Rossetta Woolf and Isak Williams. As the tours start at sunset the time varies according to the season, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Entrance fee is R200 p.p. Bookings must be made in advance by SMS or email. It is possible to visit the gardens during the daytime at R50 p.p. by contacting Isak Williams during office hours or Rossetta Woolf at weekends after 11am. Important note: these visits do not include entrance to the Art House and will not be conducted by Hennie Boshoff. No visit to Prince Albert will be complete without viewing the stunning and controversial drums outside the Thusong Centre, which Boshoff and his team created.

Art After Dark is a wonderful experience. Mr Boshoff takes you through his wonderful sculpture garden & glorious art house. One of the best attractions in Prince Albert, and a significant part of my travels.

It was my first time visiting the Great Karoo which it was a great honor to be invited to partake on a tour at Villa Kruger. Within the garden there’s gigantic Living Sculptures possessed all by beauty, life and positive energies. I was moved with the whole experience. When Mr Hennie Boshoff conducting the tour felt like he was led... More

I have never had an experience like this. Asked a local directions on my way to the sunset tour and they said "Look for the most colourful place in Prince Albert!". The garden is lovely with enormous sculptures. The creator of this mind-blowing Villa tells you stories about his life in Europe, the themes of his work while you are... More

I don't normally write reviews on the Internet, but feel compelled to say the following: I have been to the Lavalin Kruger out after dark show almost half a dozen times. I have also done the daytime garden on two occasions. My family, children and Annis have all visited and expectations were exceeded. During our younger days my late husband... More

We have heard a great deal of Villa Kruger from the newspapers and from friends and colleagues who have visited and raved about the experience it's made us a little apprehensive, that it would not live up to its reputation. Not at all. This is a consummate production, brilliantly conceived and executed. Do go and have an experience of a... More

One of the sculptures that overlooks the grounds, Le Bateleur, could well be a personification of Hennie Boshoff, a Magician that brings together, to constant delight a range of different styles, from the ancient to the avant-garde, from the East to Africa, merging and blending spirituality and creativity from so many very different sources. In all a Marvellous Palace. The... More
