This winery was beautiful and had a cool shop and museum, but felt like it was a little too big and slightly pretentious. Very little explaining of wines - kind of felt like the grounds were supposed to "wow" you which meant the staff didn't need to do much else. If you like big wineries, then this is for you.... More

We did some wine tasting at La Motte during our trip to Franschhoek. The estate is very beautiful. We were a bit late so we could not do the full tasting, but they let us taste three wines for free. Very professional people and a nice ambiance. More
