A beautiful setting, an elegant winery and an Art Gallery and sculpture park. We were shown outside and offered a table while the staff member went a brought a list of the wines available - three choices. But service was slow and almost incomprehensible - I thought I had the premium range, but then saw the prices were low. So... More

Terrible service, attitude and prices. only saving grace is the beautiful garden. Shame. At least the gallery has some interesting art - but only for looking !

Tasting of only 4 wines which they have the nerve to call "premium" was very poor and disappointing, 50 rand for for a few sips of wine, the white ones not even cold. We also got a so called cheese platter, which consist of a few cheeses still wrapped up in paper like you just picked it from the super-market... More

The estate on which the restaurant is, is spectacular. Sitting under the huge trees sipping cherry while the sun is setting in the distance is good for any soul. The art gallery was opened and had some interesting pieces, at incredible prices. The restaurant is very elegant and intimate. The service was good, but felt a bit under staffed for... More

Have just returned from a meal at la Provence. The service was appalling, we were ignored for first 20 minutes. They forgot the bread and the food was not nearly as good as previous visit. The bill was incorrect and the portions mean. The long bench on which one person has to sit is very uncomfortable though we asked for... More

We visited this wine estate with a group of clients and booked well in advance. In general the welcome was poor and with our any warmth and friendliness. We just felt that all the staff we met were more interested in their own self importance and treated us with a hint of distain. The cellar was a hazard to walk... More

The food was ok, but in comparison to our other meals in franschhoek it didn't compare. It felt a little over complicated and baring the pea risotto starter the food was unmemorable which given the amount of detail I would have expected more. Given the price I would have expected the service to be a little more effortless and a... More

This place has a lot to offer as a stop on a winery tour. It's got nice wines, a beautiful property with a cool art gallery and art for sale. The two restaurants looked beautiful and the rooms to stay I'm sure are awesome but they are pricey. The other nice thing about this winery is that it's open until... More

Just had a wine tasting there, however, was blown away by the life sized sculpture in bronze of an African Elephant at the entrance to the wine tasting facility. The size of the facility is not that large and all clients are seated on sculptured metal chairs which can make for some sore bums as they are a tad uncomfortable.... More

Very pleasant hour wine tasting with friendly, helpful staff. Located off main road with beautiful sculptures in grounds and well appointed wine tasting 'bar'. Purchased some red and dessert wine, went down very well on return to UK with family/friends...need to go back for more!
