A very scenic drive, well worth the trip if up in the area. Continue driving the entire pass down to theewaterskloof dam and head back to Cape Town via Grabouw rather than going back into Franshoek.

My girlfriend and I left Franschoek and drove over the pass towards Cape L'Agulhas. Not as high and long as I expected but then I'm used to the mountain passes of Europe! A plesent drive though with a nice view of thenFranschoek valley from the top.

This was a nice scenic way to return to via Stellenbosch to Cape Town after our visit to the wine areas of Paarl and Franschhoek.

An alternate scenic route to Cape Town. This is a must for anyone who travels Franschhoek. You could stop at La Petite Farm on the way.

This was our way out of the valley on our way to Oudtschoorn via Mossel Bay, so no choice in the matter but we were so glad our route took us this way. The road is not difficult and the views back down the Franschhoek Valley are spectacular.

The views over the valley are superb, the mountain drive is spectacular and on arrival in Franshoek the numerous eateries, wineries and historical venues are brilliant - not to mention the shops!!!!.

A great way to explore Franschhoek and see why this beautiful valley is one of the best in South Africa. the slopes are dotted with Protea flowers and on a clear day one can see all the way down the valley. Worth the short drive.
