Whilst on a 2 week holiday in Cape Town, one of the things that was planned was a Full Day Mistery Wine tour with La Rochelle Tours. On the morning of the 3 February, we were picked up at the given address by our Guide Aylmer, who then ventured with us into the Stellenbosh - Franschhoek Wine Valley. Once he knew what... More

I did the full day chocolate, cheese, olive and wine tasting tour while on honeymoon with my wife. We got lucky as we were the only people on the tour that day so in effect it was a private tour with our guide Danelle. Danelle was superb. She had a great knowledge of wines and the area. She passed on... More

We only had one day in Franshoek for wine tasting so we felt we should make the most of it by taking a guide (wine trams run to many of the vineyards for self-directed tastings). La Rochelle reviewed very well on trip advisor so we booked a days wine cheese chocolate and Olive oil tasting with them. Our guide Aylmer... More

First thing first a huge thanks to our guide Alymer who made the day. He was knowledgeable, funny, full of history and loads of facts. The tour itself was magnificent. Picked up at 9.30 drunk by 10.30 lol well I was as I refused to spit these stunning wines out. The pairing is so palate educational that it has totally changed... More

We booked the full day tour and had the great pleasure of being guided by Alymer, who ensured the tour was tailored to our tastes and interests, while ensuring we enjoyed a range of wines from differing estates, from the traditional Grande Provence, to the new niche Camberley, slightly off the beaten track. Alymer, was very knowledgeable not only about... More

As it was the first day of our SA tour, booked this in advance from UK - they couldn't have been more helpful arranging the booking by e mail and we received a discount there were 6 of us. We did the Chocolate, cheese & olives tour and it was fantastic. Alymer picked us up promptly and was the most... More

As a group of 6 friends touring South Africa, for our first day we arranged the full day chocolate, cheese and olive wine tasting tour and we couldn't have made a better decision. None of us were quite sure what to expect but the knowledge that Alymer impacted was fantastic. We had an amazing day. He picked us up from... More

Three years ago we did the tour with Aymer who was so knowledgeable we asked for him again. He took us to different vineyards and told us a lot of things we did not know about growing and drinking wines and also the area. The stop for Lunch was at a great restaurant set in a vineyard, wonderful!
