We passed through the area on our way along the N14 while on a road-trip around the country. The falls themselves are spectacular, the boardwalk providing many great photo opportunities. Taking the short drive around to one of the viewpoints further down the river was definitely worth the views that we were rewarded with, along with a few animal sightings.... More

The main attraction is the falls they are beautiful. We slept over in the park for 4 nights. The rooms are well kept the air conditioning worked over time because of the heat. It was good to be woken in the morning by velvet monkeys walking on your roof. The staff is friendly. The pools are okay. We took a... More

The Falls are spectacular but not huge like Victoria or Niagara and in January are quite low. The surrounding park has plentiful game and a well maintained dirt road drive.

I would truly like to give Augrabies higher rating, but there is simply nothing there to do other than walk to the falls which is a very uneventful. You see the falls, which is easily 1 hr at most and that is about it...The camping is not bad, and the chalets and the hotel are nice. There are two small... More

The falls are absolutely beautiful. The park is well maintained and all the walkways newly done and safe. Set aside two to three hours to visit the falls if you go as a day visitor. You pass through a security gate at the entrance to the park. When you get to reception you must obtain your day permit to view... More

We stopped at Augrabies on our way back from Christmas holiday on the west coast - What a stunning place! Very accessible, shaded parking (you need that in summer) and super clean facilities. a must see natural wonder. We lunched in the restaurant - lovely fresh salads, tasty food and great service - and not expensive. All the staff in... More

Firstly, this park is very well kept by SanParks. I must say that they are doing a very good job keeping this place looking functional and professional. There is a little curio and gift shop as well. I must say, I was surprised by how well this park is kept. I think it must be the best SanPark I have... More

The walk ways are great and they have good views of the falls. I kept feeling I wanted more views and I did get them from each of the access points. We visited in December and made it there at 1pm. It was boiling hot. Top tip try get there very early or much later in the summer months. It... More

Been to Augrabies Falls 3 times now and every time has been splendid in its own right. If you want to see the falls in full spectacle, visit during mid or late summer after good rains in the Orange (Gariep) river catchment. The campsite is first rate and ablutions are always clean and well tended. It is very advisable to... More

No wonder that our country is experiencing extensive power cuts and load shedding. Augrabies NP provides beautiful walks and hikes. Try the white water rafting that stops only 300 meters in front of the main falls and get the excitement to hear the roar of the water just in front of you. - Sadly the village Augrabies has developed into...
