More than just a waterfall

A fantastic reserve offering visitors not only a wonderful opportunity to see the Augrabies Falls but clean well maintained chalets and an out of this world game reserve.

Whow! What a pleasant surprise with top quality accommodation and outstanding resturant. The falls is something to experience. Wish we had more time to explore the area and the wine farms between the falls and Upington. Will allow for this during our next trip

The signage from Upington was poor, so we weren't sure we were on the right track. Staff very friendly at the gate & reception. Rest rooms very clean & shop looked fairly well stocked. There were very few visitors when we were there & because water levels are a bit low at the moment I did find it a bit... More

The falls were lovely, but they do not spend there income on the maintenance of the buildings. The shop is very expensive.

Despite being one of the smaller national parks and lacking the spectacular wildlife of many others, Augrabies always amazes me. The waterfall is always breathtaking, but venturing further afield on drives to the viewpoints or short hiking trail you can truly escape from civilization and experience the peace and quite of Africa. Augrabies is a perfect place for a 1-2... More

The falls was a stopover en route to Kgalagadi. We stopped especially to see the falls and were not disappointed. The camp site was not full so we were spoilt for choice. Nice and clean ablution facilities. Will definitely go back to do some of the hiking trails.

Don't get me wrong - the park itself is beautiful. We stayed for two days, and did morning and evening drives following different routes. Wildlife is scarce, but the flora and rock formations are stunning. My favorite thing was the band of rose Quartz and unakite crystals and pebbles we passed - like a dry riverbed inbetween the trees and... More

We camped at the Augrabies National Park for 4 days. The waterval is absolutely amazing! We had the most enjoyable game drives through the park. As the animal life is limited, one tend to be a lot more aware if the nature in general. The rock formations can only be described as spectacular. The visit was complete with an educational... More

Interesting but really hot. Clean and well run, it appears. Staff not exceptionally helpful, but we did not require much assistance.
