Been to Augrabies Falls 3 times now and every time has been splendid in its own right. If you want to see the falls in full spectacle, visit during mid or late summer after good rains in the Orange (Gariep) river catchment. The campsite is first rate and ablutions are always clean and well tended. It is very advisable to... More

No wonder that our country is experiencing extensive power cuts and load shedding. Augrabies NP provides beautiful walks and hikes. Try the white water rafting that stops only 300 meters in front of the main falls and get the excitement to hear the roar of the water just in front of you. - Sadly the village Augrabies has developed into... Walkways along the falls are lovely and well laid out. Seeing the falls lit up at night is a treat. We also did the Dassie trail which was a moderate walk but a nice exposure to the area.

We only stay one night, the waterfalls are awesome, with great access i photo opp. There are roads to drive and trails to hike, we did one trail, great landscape, few people in august. The camp and chalets are good.

Great hidden gem of an attraction in the Northern Cape of SA. Excellent wildlife and off-roading excursion at nearby zoo. Nice food. Be wary of baboons as we saw a big male raid a big dustbin right in front of is. Beautiful flora.

Overall it was a nice experience. The selfcatering chalet was lovely with a beautiful view of the rockformations. The aircon was a great suprise since the temperature was in the thrities upon our arival. We received our key at the gate, but the communicationskills of the gatekeeper was not that good. We checked in that evening after a afternoonnap in... More

We went there quickly was too warm and not much to do. I enjoyed the landscape and views. There were not a lot of animals to see either, maybe coz of the heat.

If you have a 4x4 I expect it is a marvelous place. But for us in a sedan car the only bit accessible to us was the falls( on foot). At the end of August the place was as dry as tinder and we saw nothing in the bird or wildlife line.

We stayed one night in a chalet at the Augrabies Falls National Park and will be back again. The chalet was well equipped, in good repair, clean and comfortable. We ate lunch and dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed both meals. The service was pleasant and efficient and the food better than the usual fare in the Parks. The infrastructure... More

A well organized park with good boardwalk walking trails. This is a huge falls in the summer; not when we visited, but still very attractive.
