If you are in the area this is a must I have been there on a few of my Safaris with clients and its truly worth the visit. You need to spend at least two days here as if you decide to do a game drive the route can take most of the day so take a picnic with you.... More

There had not been that much rain when we visited, Feb 15, but the Falls were still impressive. It was very hot (38 C) so we did not trek very far.

We drove up from Cape Town to see the falls and it was a very worthwhile journey. The scenery is fantastic and it's the only way to truly experience the Country. The falls themselves are quite spectacular but you have to go very early in the morning to avoid the heat - a mistake we made and so we were... More

This was our second visit to this national park. Some of the lookouts and walks closest to the camp are very nice , but be aware that it gets hot early. We drove a bit beyond the lookouts but turned around as the landscape was not changing too much. This is not a place to see a lot of game... More

The Augrabies Waterfall is stunning in its own rights, and the view points to Orange River are photographer's heaven. The beautiful walkway gives the sense of adventure and leads to places where otherwise it would have been difficult for normal people to climb. More than the waterfall I enjoyed the drive through the park, and the bounty of wild life... More

In December I visited Addo National Park in PE and today I went to the Augrabies Falls National Park. I took lots of pictures and they came out beautifully. I really enjoyed the trip down the falls and once there I got blown away by what I saw. Since in a space of 2 months I have seen 2 major... More

We passed through the area on our way along the N14 while on a road-trip around the country. The falls themselves are spectacular, the boardwalk providing many great photo opportunities. Taking the short drive around to one of the viewpoints further down the river was definitely worth the views that we were rewarded with, along with a few animal sightings.... More

The main attraction is the falls they are beautiful. We slept over in the park for 4 nights. The rooms are well kept the air conditioning worked over time because of the heat. It was good to be woken in the morning by velvet monkeys walking on your roof. The staff is friendly. The pools are okay. We took a... More

The Falls are spectacular but not huge like Victoria or Niagara and in January are quite low. The surrounding park has plentiful game and a well maintained dirt road drive.

I would truly like to give Augrabies higher rating, but there is simply nothing there to do other than walk to the falls which is a very uneventful. You see the falls, which is easily 1 hr at most and that is about it...The camping is not bad, and the chalets and the hotel are nice. There are two small... More
