Augrabies is a place I have visited with friends and family many times. It is an awesome spot and not just for the waterfall. The fall is great but the canyon a short drive into the park, at viewpoint Ararat is even better. Here at sunset you can see black eagle flying below you as they look for food while... More

Because of the low level in the river the falls were unimpressive. You need to go when the river is in flood. Nevertheless the viewpoints provide remarkable scenery. Convenient roads and clean toilets. Game viewing is a plus although apart from some giraffe and baboons we saw nothing else.

We called by during our 3 month driving tour of South Africa in January this year. Probably not the best time as it was all very dry and the waterfalls were just a trickle. My beef though is with the management here who need to work on their customer-facing skills, in my opinion. Due to a misunderstanding (i.e. not being... More

This remote gem is still missed by many . The remote areas have an amazing silence, seldom found and the lanscape is spectacular. late afternoon is the best time for photography and being out there.

This park has been well designed with great walkways to the falls. If you enjoy nature, as we do, then this is a site worth seeing. The staff were friendly and helpful. My children loved the falls. Not anything as spectacular as Victoria falls but impressive in it's own right, in this dry and arid landscape. The real surprise for... More

Spectacular to see such large amount of water. Lookout point was closed due to a flood but still had a chance of viewing this spectacular waterfall and all the small creatures while walking on the pathways

If you are in the area this is a must I have been there on a few of my Safaris with clients and its truly worth the visit. You need to spend at least two days here as if you decide to do a game drive the route can take most of the day so take a picnic with you.... More

There had not been that much rain when we visited, Feb 15, but the Falls were still impressive. It was very hot (38 C) so we did not trek very far.

We drove up from Cape Town to see the falls and it was a very worthwhile journey. The scenery is fantastic and it's the only way to truly experience the Country. The falls themselves are quite spectacular but you have to go very early in the morning to avoid the heat - a mistake we made and so we were... More
