The beauty of the falls attract a lot of visitors and it is spectacular. Best to pack your own food and drinks as the restaurant and shop is not the best and pack something to keep the gnats away, they are everywhere!

I have visited this site numerous times as I live close to it. My recommendations would be 1. If you can't handle the heat don't go in summer. 2. If you are planning on seeing "wild animals" then you are at the wrong place. 3. Sleepover if you can, because you get to see the falls at night which is... More

If the water is in full swing its Epic. We experienced record breaking heat (52C') on the day we went but was worth it. Its beautiful, well maintained and spacious enough for everyone to take photos and see the falls. Afterwards there is a nice lil restaurant with drinks to cool of with Very friendly staff. Worth a visit.

The park has a 90km game drive which may be done with any kind of vehicle - you don't need a 4x4 - and is about 4 hrs. There is however a dedicated 4x4 game drive which is about 30 km and is about 9 hrs. Both game drives take you through breathtaking scenery and Landscapes and see amazing natural... More

Do something different by visiting the falls at night. Enjoy your supper in the restaurant and then go for a walk to the falls. You will need a torch for the walk to the falls, but there are lights at the falls along the walk way.

We booked an overnight stay some weeks in advance via the sanparks website and the process was efficient and everything went well on our arrival. The drought is in full swing upcountry, meaning that the falls were not as full as they could have been at this time of year, however, as this was our first visit, the family were... More

Visited the park in peak summer. It can be hot so make sure you take enough hydration when hiking or cycling. Multiple photo opportunities.

Always an impressive sight. Hot as hell in December / January. Great day hiking trails. Good place for a lunch.....and go and cool down in the swimming pool!

My girlfriend and I visited the Augrabies falls with friends. They were a beautiful site as the water was flowing strongly at the time of our visit (January). The walk way to the waterfall and the view points are well built and well positioned. There are dassies (rock hyrax) all over the place too and they were entertaining to watch.... More
