Lots of trails and an interesting place any time of the year, although during the summer it can be very buggy. I've seen heron, egrets and Osprey there, but have yet to see deer or foxes. It's very peaceful and a good place to walk, run, ride bikes or take pictures. There are lots of activities and programs for kids.... More

It is not an island in the true sense. The body of water to the left is Mosquito Cove. There are several boardwalks for hiking or biking over the marsh with great views of the wetlands and across to Barnegat Bay. Be sure to bring your binoculars and camera. The Cooper Environmental Center is a major resource for conservation and... More

the trails are well maintained. You can be in a forest, and then in a swamp, and then on the beach and a marsh all on one trail. You will often see deer and the osprey are returning. The egrets, herons, and red winged blackbirds are plentiful from now until winter. the nature center is a added bonus; very kid-friendly More

A spot to go when you need that hour away from the hustle and bustle and dont have time to go far. Park the car and take a quiet walk through a few acres of what the bay area used to be like, great spot for a long stretch with your dog. More
