clean beach, not crowded, easy access. Just lovely. A great low-key shore vacation spot with nice shops, good places to eat. Quiet at night which we like!

Always clean, well maintained, and a pleasure to visit. During the season, a beach pass is required and at a low cost. The beach is relatively free of boom boxes and loud music, and always seems to be a family type of crowd. There are some beaches that could learn a lot from how this beach is maintained.

This place is a yearly tradition for our family. The beach is great, requires beach tags, like most, if not all, NJ beaches. Restrooms close, lifeguards, umbrella and beach chairs available for rent.

Stopped here to check out the beach while staying in Cape May Courthouse. What a gem! The beach is spotless the water was clean and the sand is the best I've seen in NJ! It was after the season but they appear to have the cheapest beach tags prices that I've seen. Well worth stopping here for a walk or... More

My first trip to the Jersey shore was to Wildwood, about 10 miles south of Stone Harbor. That is very honkey-tonk and dominated by the boardwalk. Stone Harbor and the beach are beautiful and like a beach should be!

Been going to SH since I was a child and it still feels like coming home. Home though is becoming far too expensive and exclusive. No diversity on this island and the small beach houses have been overtaken by knock downs by folks who spend precious little time there. I suppose the tax base helps the town but it's losing... This is a clean pretty beach, always has been for the fifty some years I've known it. Happy friendly beachgoers enjoying the surf which had a pretty nice temperature this time of year (August) and this whole week the weather was glorious. Great for beach walks.

Such a nice beach, body surf for the kidskin the afternoon. and 6 miles jogging in the early morning for me, however the tide is. The beach has multiple faces. In front of Stone Harbor and Avallon, a total cleaning in the morning with engines .... Other part in the south remain more "natural" and untouched Everywhere though, the beach... More

The best beach to walk on at any time of day. If you want to avoid crowds, hit the beach around 4pm when everyone else is leaving to go get ready for dinner.
