This is a clean pretty beach, always has been for the fifty some years I've known it. Happy friendly beachgoers enjoying the surf which had a pretty nice temperature this time of year (August) and this whole week the weather was glorious. Great for beach walks.

Such a nice beach, body surf for the kidskin the afternoon. and 6 miles jogging in the early morning for me, however the tide is. The beach has multiple faces. In front of Stone Harbor and Avallon, a total cleaning in the morning with engines .... Other part in the south remain more "natural" and untouched Everywhere though, the beach... More

The best beach to walk on at any time of day. If you want to avoid crowds, hit the beach around 4pm when everyone else is leaving to go get ready for dinner.

This is one of those places that no one thinks exist in New Jersey. Beautiful stretch of white sand, mostly families. No boardwalk. Great place to relax, run, and just enjoy the waves

Lovely beach. Very few stones or shells to cut your feet. Close to parking and beach tag office. Changing and showering area all in close proximity to parking lot. Sandy bottom in the ocean. Doesn't get much better than this.

Fabulous, clean beach with nice waves. Plenty of room and access points from Avalon to Stone Harbor. Lifeguards can be a little heavy handed but they are attentive.

Wonderful family time. We picked this beach among all the options we had. I love the little town with restaurants and bars. Parking is free on any street except the main one. Try to park near the beach or the street if it's available. The lifeguards are in certain areas. Make sure you are swimming around there. They will direct... More

The beach in Stone Harbor was beyond my expectations. Beautiful, clean, and safe. You are only allowed to swim in front of the lifeguards so positioning yourself for quick access to the water is important.

This is a great beach. It is big enough to accommodate lots of families. The water is reasonably shallow with breakers at certain times. Life guard on duty till 5 p.m. Lovely water - a great place to holiday
