Walking the boardwalk was fantastic-friendly town. Waves produced a wonderful calmness.the town was unique & a treat to visit. Again, everyone we met was soon friendly. Made us wanting to move there!!!

My judgement averages the good impression of the beach and water against the fact that you are charged 10$ to enter (too much for a family!) and that the baywatch team is too oppressive..... They did not even allow us to walk on the rocks....

WE came to Spring Lake for a romantic weekend and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast near the beach. Spring Lake is a very pretty town with nice inns and wonderful restaurants. The downtown area is cute, nothing extravagant, but with some cute stores. The beach itself is nice. Contrary to what the signs say, you can bring food and... More

Trip advisor and most of the reviewers on here are ill-informed. Visitors to Spring Lake should be aware of this before visiting. This beach used to be much quieter before the internet ruined everything and told all the obnoxious tourists about it.

This was my first visit to Spring Lake and was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful area. First, the town itself is stunning...gorgeous mansions line the street across from the beach. There is plenty of free parking and it's very easy to find. There is a boardwalk which is strictly for biking or walking...no games or rides here. There is a... More

Beautiful, clean beach, white sand, with a boardwalk and benches on which to sit. It was not crowded when I was there, and parking was was not a problem. Cost of one day beach tag was $10 per person, which I thought was a little high. Beach attendant arrives early, around 8 a.m. but leaves for the day around 4... More

Peaceful. Historic. Calming. Charming. Relaxing. What a beautiful place to spend time anytime of the year.

Nice boardwalk. No tacky stands or cheap food stands. Beach was nearly empty late in afternoon on a beautiful August day. Place was clean. Relatively easy to find free parking not too far from beach. I would go back

My wife and I received a last-minute invite to go to the beach and it was a great decision to go. The beach was clean and well kept. Lifeguards alerted swimmers of riptides and flagged the safer areas to swim. It wasn’t noisy or jammed with people running around or playing loud music; I was able to sit, relax and... More

Not sure if it worth $10 pp and how can you call it quiet? May be on Monday? The beach in Spring Lake is not bad, but not much different from other beaches in the area. The price keeps people away, but it's still crowded. Remember, that people from the city can get there by a train. The food is... More
