At least that's the impression each year when we spend a few days there. It's a great town to walk around, and a nice uninterrupted boardwalk. The beach is wide enough and overall relatively quiet. The fact there are only two restroom facilities located far apart (north and south) does not encourage a lot of day visitors, and for us... More

Yesterday was the first and last of me ever taking friends my family to this beach. As soon as we hit the sand to look for a spot through we found one but a man sitting on a beach chair startled almost got off his chair and said out loud to us go further swinging out with his hands I... More

Not sure if this was the Washington Street Beach but it was the beach by the South End Pool Building. Rest Rooms, little beach shop, and sandwiches, Soft drinks, etc sold there. I went to see what the drink offered were. The case is past the end of the counter. Some old woman with dark hair started yelling at me... More

I have been to quite a few beaches all over the world and never have I experienced this. First, I will start by saying I was already annoyed that they have the nerve to charge $10 per person. I am all about free beaches. But I get that they need to pay summer police/beach patrol and I assumed that money... More

I took my daughter to this beach a few weeks ago on a weekend. I had no issues with finding parking spots but I did arrive early at 10am. The price for a daily beach pass this season is $10 per person. Coolers are not permitted and you will be asked to keep it on the boardwalk which can be... More

Start your day with some fresh and clean air from the ocean. It's wonderful to see how many people taking care of themselves and do some aerobic activity on the beach. The new boardwalk after "Sandy" storm is very nice.

The beach was nice, BUT.... This town is NOT what I was looking for while on a weekend at the beach. You can't bring food or coolers on the beach, there are no bars in town, none of the restaurants serve alcohol. All of the shops on Third Ave are boutiques and way out of our price range. Holy cow,... More

The beach is clean and not too many people go so you don't have to worry about fighting for a spot to set up your chairs! Its great for day trips. They do have a pavilion with a snack bar for lunch, however as of August 2013, it is undergoing (non-Sandy related) renovations. I suspect it will be ready to... More

I just witnessed a beach police tell a family with a baby to remove their cooler which contained breast milk. Seriously! Does spring lake have any idea how long it takes to pump enough milk for a newborn. The family got up and left because the mom didn't want to put her little cooler on the boardwalk. She was afraid...
