This is a beautiful area for many reasons. It can be accessed by many shore and mainland communities as well as other tributaries for free. You can also see many shore birds as well as osprey. Bring your kayaks or jet skis to see the marshes and your boats for some dockside dining at Tuckahoe Inn or the Somers Point... More

What a lovely view, I was mesmerized. Stunning. I couldn't understand why I hadn't been here before. We always went to Maryland. I love New Jersey

Beautiful views and killer sunsets. For birdwatchers, visit the fishing area about 1/4 mile from the Somers Point side of the bridge for seagulls, terns, and black skimmers in spring through early fall.

I think this bridge is very BEAUTIFUL and very easy to get to Ocean City with smooth driving. Drive straight on 9th Street to beach from the bridge!

Teeming with wildlife, wanted to go fish for fluke (flounder) and crabbing, but didn't get a chance.

As many here state and live nearby as myself I must agree with them! The new causeway took several years to build but will last a long time to help usher in the beach, boat and fun seekers!

It is a beautiful body of water which lends itself to the usual pleasurable activities like boating, sailing and fishing. Somers Point Harbor Cova Marina is a good starting point for a lot of those activities. There are many nice restaurants in town and places to walk like Kennedy Park. Do not miss the new causeway. The bay is also... More

The new causeway is THE new attraction in the area. A full pedestrian walkway allows you to take in the view from the Atlantic ocean inlet on up into the river. 2.5 miles each way or park in the middle and go as far as you want. Fresh air and exercise with a view!!

Most of our summers are spent on the Great Egg Harbor Bay: we fish, crab, clam, water ski, and relax. The water is clean and the only heavy boat traffic is on the weekends. The local college builds and places osprey platforms throughout the meadows, so there are many opportunities to view them and other shore birds. In the early... More
