My teenage kids are water rats when here. Watch for lifeguard warnings for riptides, but this is a nice Jersey Shore beach (especially since that horrible show left the next Jersey Shore town, Seaside Heights.) I feel for the locals, first with Sandy and then the fire that desroyed the rebuilt boardwalk. I heard that they are planning to rebuild... More

Office staff nasty .... Pull out couches old and uncomfortable . Can't believe how one of the staff talked to people who where trying to give a child a time out of the pool the kid was having a melt down and she basically told them to leave undermining the parents . Just unacceptable tone an attitude .

Seaside is a great family/friend location during September. The beaches no longer charge for admission and the amount of people is much fewer. Many vendors are still open at this time. The beaches are clean and well kept.

I had concerns going to a beach so close to Seaside Heights, but this beach is really separate from that crazy world of "Jersey Shore." There were plenty of families and lots of opportunity for quiet time. The life guards were very attentive and we saw seals and dolphins right off shore! Very nice.

Parking is difficult, food selections limited, but the beach is very clean & well kept. Restrooms are readily available along the beach front, get there early

They have cleaned up the beach very nicely after Sandy devastated this whole area. Some changes tho, they are trying to enforce no smoking but do not enforce it at all! The beach is now locked up and you cannot sit on the beach at night nor fish any longer. There is a $6 charge every day to get on... More

The borough takes great pride in their beach, and it shows. During the guarded season it can get plenty busy, and for $10 a bit pricey if you do not have a season badge or get one from your hotel. But the surf is usually pretty nice, and the sand is clean and if you are on the north side,you... More

We visited the boardwalk, which is still being rebuilt after Superstorm Sandy and the subsequent fire. It has the typical eateries, games, and rides, plus a skyride so you can ride along in the air above/along the boardwalk and see the boardwalk and the ocean. Once it is totally rebuilt, there will be more to do and more rides.

The town uses mechanical cleaners each day, but could use a finer sifter for broken shells. The slope into the ocean was alternating steep with plateaus. Other Jersey beach provide a more gradual slope into the water.
