It was my first time there and I thought it was a nice theater. I got there early and there was plenty of parking. The theater itself was nice and the seats had plenty of padding. They were a little narrow though. I saw the Anderson/Ponty Band and they were great. They played some new music and some classic Yes... More

Theatre is good, looks great, still gives you that small town feeling, and beers and wine are still about $7-$8. I do agree with some comments from other people that the first row on the lodge is horrible because the wall is very high. Parking is a little bit (a lot) of a challenge.

This is a great place to enjoy a show. The theatre has been redone and is beautiful. Tickets are usually offered at a fair price depending on the artist or show, of course. There are many different types of entertainment on the schedule. Red Bank is a really fun town to walk, shop and of course dine and cocktail. Add... More

FIRST: There is no elevator or escalator in Count Basie Theatre. If you have any mobility issues, do not purchase anywhere but Main Level seats. SECOND: Unless you are over 6 ft tall, DO NOT purchase tickets in the front row, Row A, of Loge. The barrier railing is so HIGH, only the tallest person, when seated, can see over... More

Mark Knopfler, who definitely works hard to deliver, was well showcased at the Count Basie. The theater is not too big, not too small, and with adequate elbow room. Staying on one's feet to dance seemed to be frowned upon, and despite my decrepitude or maybe because of it I found this a bit off-putting. But it does seem that... More

So excited to hear Mark Knopfler at the Count Basie Theater last night. It's a cool classic space. We had seats in the top row of the balcony. So bummed that the sound mix was awful. Could not hear vocals and overpowering bass. Not sure if it was our seats or just poor sound. Would have expected better for the... More

Very nice smaller venue with old style theatre decor close to home with nearby muni parking available and near many restaurants.

This is a great venue to see different musical acts. We have seen country, bluegrass, and oldies rock. This week we are going to listen to Jackson Browne. Ticket prices are reasonable in most cases.

Classic old neighborhood theater that has become part of the State Theater system. They've recently added a a bar and an outdoor area to have your drink and socialize a bit before the show in good weather. It seems like the booking is getting better. More national acts like comedians (Mark Maron, Lewis Black, Patton Oswald) and musicians and less... More
