We just visited Ocean City for the first time - just for a day trip as we only live an hour away. We've been to Seaside frequently and Point Pleasant, but decided to try Ocean City. We loved it! Ocean City is much cleaner than Seaside, and doesn't seem to attract the strange people that seem to visit there. Even... more

My wife and I go down the shore every June and this is the fourth boardwalk that we have visited. This is a close second to Wildwood as the best boardwalk in NJ. We liked that there were no bars on it, (Ocean City is a dry town), and the boardwalk is clean. There are a lot of shops on... more

We visited Wildwood Boardwalk first, and were kind of overwhelmed by the crowds there. So it was great to visit Ocean City Boardwalk, and actually get to enjoy walking around there. There were still lots of restaurants and shops, and some amusements, but not the craziness of Wildwood. The water is a very short distance from the boardwalk, which is... more

As I tell my friends in the Midwest all the time who typically travel to Myrtle Beach, Destin or Gatlinburg for their summer vacations; where else can you find a place you can walk, bike, ride surreys, see movies, eat freshly made fudge, watch beautiful sunrises or sunsets, walk down to a perfectly maintained ocean beach, ride amusements, go to... more

The Atlantic City Boardwalk is great! My husband and I recently took a vacation to New Jersey. We stayed at the Tropicana on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. We visited Ocean City just as an on the side day trip. We liked Ocean City so much better that we wished we had stayed there! Ocean City's Boardwalk is cleaner, friendlier, and... more

Ever since I was a baby my parents would to take me down to Ocean City every summer. Sometimes we'd stay for the day, sometimes for a week. Now that I'm in my early twenties, my boyfriend and I visit often, and it's one of my favorite places to go! It's family friendly, and very clean! more

Being from New England, I never understood why people would travel far distances to arrive at the Jersey Shore. In Mass. and RI, the beach is only 20 minutes from practically everywhere. What more could you need? So after 35 years, I finally made my first trip to Ocean City, New Jersey and experienced the "boardwalk". What a great place!... more

The boardwalk is definitely the "happening" place to be. The inlet is attractive with plenty of parking, though not cheap. Try the street parking, less expensive. Fun to fish from the inlet. As you pass from the inlet area through the first couple blocks, its look is quaint and feels like a fair. You walk through the sounds of the... more

Be sure to walk the boardwalk to see the sand sculptures. Evidently the man has been creating them for decades. They are always Biblical in theme, but regardless of how you feel about that, they are worth seeing. They are huge and detailed and lit at night (I guess, as there were spotlights, but I visited in the daytime). Anyone... more
