Ocean City is a family resort. It is a dry town and the natives like it that way. It is clean and quiet. The boardwalk has the usual fun spots and charm without the the tackiness. The beaches are clean with soft sand. It is close enough to take day trips to all the other beach towns like Stone Harbor... More

I find it troubling that one needs to pay to use the beach. I do understand the reasoning because Ocean City is touted as the family vacation spot, and it needs to pay for the lifeguards, etc., but five dollars for a one-day stay is excessive. I know someone will counter that if someone wants a week pass, it is... More

Was shocked at the crowds, no biggie boards...and the real shocker is you have to swim in these small areas. Forgot to mention you have to pay for this! No thank you! I will go else where!

spacious, long, flat beautiful beach perfect for boogie boarding and building sand castles. The water temp was 73 degrees and the waves were crystal clear. OC beach is fantastic!

Beautiful beautiful beautiful beach. We stayed down in the more quiet area away from the boardwalk(in the 50's). We stayed a block and 1/2 away. Easy walk onto the beach, there was always people on the beach, but never too crowded. VERY VERY clean beach. Sometimes the tide gets really high and there isn't much sitting room but that's usually... More

The beaches are nice and clean and the life guards (9th street) are the best I have ever seen. They even called everyone out of the water at one time to explain that there was rip tides that day and to be careful and what to do.

amazingly clean, kept well and the entrance to the beach is all new and very easy accessible. I love when the life guards on ST. Charles Place beach call all the kids out of the water at the end of the day and gather them around for a special talk about safety !! Great Job and the best life guards... More

This beach was very nice. Well kept. One of the cleanest beaches I have visited. I was a little shocked by the $6 fee pp just to go onto the beach. (I have not seen that before..) but at least the beach is kept up, so you know the money is going back into the beach. We spent a saturday... More

very nice, clean beach -- only negatives are that you have to pay to be on it, and can only swim in certain sections
