The beach is very wide and long. The water is not very clear and the waves depend of the wind, Very clean and suitable for young people but also for families.

Love the beach! Clean and safe. The life guards are great. (Wish there weren't so many sea gulls - but they come with the territory!) Haven't been able to find any sand crabs the last two years but I remember finding them as a kid. I'm told they are still there but they are elusive! My kids don't believe me... More

This beach was the cleanest beach that we visited out of the Jersey shore beaches. The weather was great and plenty of room for the kids to play. We went in July so we did have to purchase beach tags but no biggie 5 dollars for the adults we had so much fun it was worth it.

Clean, always with enough room for all, no matter whether you are in the lower street numbers, or as high as the 50's. Always guarded, and a few weeks after Labor Day.

Beaches were clean, not crowded, lots of room for kids to play ball, fly kite, sit and relax. Didn't need badges as after Labor Day.

Weather was great and I really enjoyed trying something new -- beach walk with a group and guide. Also enjoyed the usual things like the boardwalk, Asbury Ave., good restaurants and beach.

The beach is wide and unencumbered so if you like crowds, or quiet, or a bit of both...you are on the right beach. Want more seclusion? Go downbeach and away fro the entertainment part of the boardwalk! NO problem. The beach has a fee so be prepared for that. Its nominal and you can by weekly or seasonal passes at... More

Being an aquaphile and super lazy-being,beaches are my favorite resort during long weekends. So,this labor day weekend ,started with Ocean City,it was my first visit to New Jersey and to all famous beaches and casinos.Beach & boardwalk combo is quite tempting for any tourists. There are loads of rental shops, eating joints and even water & other fun rides. Though we had... More
