I love this lighthouse. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful during the summer. They lead to a picturesque view of the ocean from the seawall. My kids play on the boats they provide and I sit and soak in the seaside beauty. They also have an herb and vegetable garden. Their hydrangas are abundant and the colors are amazing. Every... More
What a treat tucked in the inlet at Anglesea! This historic lighthouse still guides seagoing vessels as it did in 1874. The tour consists of a great fact filled video and an overview of the house itself by a lighthouse tour guide. The rest of the tour is self guided, but there is a printed guide to explain all the... This is a nice place to wander while walking the wall. I love to wander around the gardens. They do an great job keeping it natural, with native plants.
Very nice tour, very nice tour director. Very informative and excellent view of the waterway. The fee was gladly paid which goes to restoration of this house as they are doing an excellent job.
This lighthouse was not that big of a deal. I was shocked to find out they wanted $4.00 per person to walk up the stairs and see the light.
Hubby and I visited in August. The grounds were delightfully and fully gardened( free). It was like " honey I shrunk Longwood Gardens" and took it to the beach. A very different respite. Nice pathways and secluded seating throughout. LIke no lighthouse we've ever seen before. The inner tour is an historical treasure trove( small fee). A must do for... More

I had visited over 10 years ago with my family and wanted to go back. It was early 7am and even though the Lighthouse... More
I have visited a few lighthouses but this one is my favorite. I suggest walking through the gardens and the seawall. The views are breathtaking!
