I always come here to walk through the well- kept gardens. I wish that they could find a way to keep water in the bird baths. This borders the bay so it gets a variety of migrants. While I was there, I watched a yellow-rumped warbler and a white-breasted nuthatch go into the empty bath. I haven't been inside for... More

Small, quant piece of history. Original photos displayed as small museum. Person available to give you a little piece of history on the tour. The Garden is lovely in the summertime.

My hubby is a lighthouse enthusiast and I love the gardens. The grounds are so peaceful and relaxing. If I lived closer I would come here all the tiem.

This lighthouse is small and of a Victorian era design (also referred to as Swiss Carpenter Gothic and also Stick Style). It is not the typical, tall cylindrical lighthouse, such as Absecon or Cape May lighthouses. It is a residential style, which means it combines both the keepers house and the light tower in one structure. It is also a... More

This is a good place to visit if you cannot go to the beach. Very interesting place to see. Fun seeing the old photos

History jumps out at you. They try to keep the place like it was a hundred years ago. The grounds look it something from an history book. You can just imagine being out to sea on a dark foggy night and seeing the beacon to guide you safely.,

Quaint lighthouse with a nice family story behind it. The grounds were beautiful well kept flower beds, plants, paths, trees, arches and a gazebos. Butterflies everywhere. If you want to tour the lighthouse it's $5.

Nice way to spend a morning is to go to Hereford Lighthouse. Beautiful gardens, wandering paths, and not big at all. Can take one of the paths out to the sea wall and walk around. Don't think it is worth it to climb the lighthouse (its only a "couple of steps" to the top anyway). Take an early morning bike... More

The free gardens around this place almost rival the lighthouse itself. Be sure to take a walk around outside. Then make sure to take the tour of the lighthouse. Its not one of those tall ones with 200 steps, its just a few easy floors up. I love to take people here.

The gardens were so beautiful! It is my understanding that they are 30 years in the making! What a nice way to spend the morning! The lighthouse looks nice too, but we did not tour it since we didn't have time after we walked the sea wall. The gardens are free to see, but the lighthouse charges a small fee.... More
