Newark's Branch Brook Park has more Cherry Blossoms than Washington DC. People come here from all over the tristate area. In my last visit this past April their was a secret photo shoot for a Asian Theme Clothing Company. The pictures looked fantastic.

Really nice park with a lake and some beautiful trees. An impressive cathedral on the perimeter with amazing gothic architecture! Lots of benches. Some pretty cherry blossom trees to boot! Lot's of traffic and lot's of garbage littered in the park somewhat dulled the experience!

I visited the branch brook park with family and friends in the second week of May. While the Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom in April, there were some trees left with blossoms for us to admire! The park is beautiful and serene. there is water body as well where one can enjoy fishing. It is great place to have... More

Next time I am staying longer, packing a lunch and enjoying it!! This was a first visit which was a bit short on time but the site of these trees is breathtaking! Do not forget your camera, really! We visited the cathedral and I would have liked to take the tour as well to learn more about the history. The... More

Beautiful park, home of the Cherry Blossom Festival, baseball, softball, bike, marathons and tennis tournaments as well. Kept very clean. Safe and relaxing.

'Cherry blossoms' has been a surprise in my visit to New York and New Jersey since I am expecting for more edifices and modern architectures to see. However, aware that this fora grow in cold climates like Japan, I have never expected that NJ, the garcen city, would have this many beautiful trees. Came here May though so the color... More

We went after the peak blossom which was about a week again. Despite that we had a great time. Many of the cherry blossoms were still in bloom. The park is clean with a lot of activity. We walked from the cherry blossom center to the lake where you can see Sacred Heart Cathedral. Would go back. Try and go... More

I just visited Branch Brook Park on 4/23/2015. The Cherry Blossom Trees are at their peak so don't wait much longer .The park passed Washington Dc in both the number and variety of cherry trees. There are nearly 4,000 cherry trees and 78 other varieties of trees. The park was conceived by Frederick Law Olmstead (Central Park, NYC) fame in... More
