I hesitate to write this review because I don't want all the tourists to come over to the New Jersey side! I've lived in the area my entire life and have taken this ferry ride many, many, many times. Whenever I have someone visiting from out of state or out of the country, Liberty Island is my number one destination.... More

We decided to cruise out of NJ instead of NY which was an excellent decision. The NJ boats were much less crowded than the NY boats. We had 11am tickets and had no problems. Got there just a few minutes before and got seats no problem. The ticket included audio tours for Both Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty.... More

The Statue of Liberty is great and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit. State Cruises has the monopoly of shipping you to the island, and they know this. The boats are packed and the boarding procedure cannot be described by anything else than complete chaos. It is first-come-first-serve for the best seats and everybody tries to squeeze in at once, encouraged... More

My wife and I took the ferry trip earlier in the year and had such a good time that we went back with friends this week. $7 to park all day compared to $55 in NY. We took the ferry to Ellis Island and then to the Statue of Liberty, and then to Battery Park NY all for $18. A... More

My family of three had a great experience with Statue Cruises. After reading some of the reviews others had from the NY side, I was hesitant. The only thing I heard from staff was "watch your step" and of course they were being polite so you didn't trip. I bought crown tickets months ahead. Such a reasonable price for the... More

The price was great and service friendly and fast in spite of the hot weather. TIP: Book for early on in the day. We took the 9am ferry and by the time we returned around noon, the lines were unbelievable! We had no problem at 9am at all.

So we were traveling back to NY from PA (road trip), since I was so tire we stayed overnight at Jersey City,NY. We decided since it was early Saturday we wanted to see something new. We read reviews about liberty park and saw we could take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty from NJ!!!!!! The line to check your... More

I'm sure the workers are exasperated putting up with hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people from all over the world. While boarding and de-boarding you'll feel like mooing as they treat you like cattle. The ride itself is very nice, but the people need training in better communication skills.

We arrived to a crowded ferry. but safely to each destination. Staff wasn't personable, never heard any historic audio until we were on the Island for the Statue of Liberty, but thankful for no problems and use of a Ferry.

I stumbled on Statue Cruises... I wanted to take the kids to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty but I thought we would sail out of NYC. What a nice surprise to find out we could sail from Jersey City but the best part is how affordable it is! I highly recommend sailing from Jersey City... it was... More
