Great views of Manhattan, Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty (those get separate reviews), the price of access to which is included in the boat ride from Liberty State Park (New Jersey) or Battery Park City (NYC).

We didn't book in advance but got lucky to be able to fit this in on our trip. We took the first morning trip out. The boat were not crowded and the Island as well. Excellent way to take pictures of the city skyline as well as the statue of liberty.

Our family visited Thanksgiving week and took Statue Cruises from the New Jersey side of the harbor. The trip over was very pleasant and not choppy at all. It was a pleasant day and we had a great view from inside and also on the top deck of the boat.

Maybe because we (3 adults)went in Nov it was just a matter of turning up at Bty Pk Pier and buying the tickets. No advance booking required. The tickets include the free audiophones and while not absolutely necessary, well, they're paid for anyway. Truthfully, the better photos of the statue are to be had off-shore but we 3 did the... We booked 3 months in advance for crown access. There was an issue at the ticket counter, apparently their system went down. After standing in line for 15 minutes, I went up to ask what the issue was and they said a system issue. They then separated the line into two lines, one for if you were just picking up... More

We recently booked a crown tour thru Statue Cruises. This is a National Park Service sanctioned service. The Crown tour is incredible! Book at least three months in advance they fill up fast for the Crown Tour. If you are not familiar with NYC the tour starts at Battery Park Pier. Dress warm and plan on at least 3 to... More

It took about an hour to get tickets and go thru security. There should be a better way. We were in one line and the lady blocked it off and then we went into another and she reopened. Will never do that again

Bottom Line: Solid service that was punctual and easy to use. Details: We took the ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty from Liberty State Park on a Sunday morning. We purchased tickets in advance online but it didn't seem necessary as the lines were pretty short (not sure if it was the time of year….Oct). Ticket times... More

We had tickets for 11 am. We arrived early and were going to leave and come back at our scheduled time however they told us that we could take the earlier trip so we took the first one at 9:30. We made it through security fairly quickly since we were the first there, however it was a bit more of... More
