I am start off by saying that I am a local to the area. Six Flags has been a staple in my life growing up--school trips, Scout Day, Fright Fest and so on. It is especially nice to live very close to world-class roller coasters and a park which does make you feel like you are in the wilderness. The... More

went there sometime in mid-october, which turned out to be a great decision. the lines were fairly short, weather was great. we planned our park coverage route well, which all-in-all, took us half a day to cover. the rides were great, and we thought that we would head to the smaller ones as a "warm-up" to the king-da ka. we... Beware of automatic charges to your credit card EVEN after your membership ends! In fact your membership never ends if you don't cancel it on their website! The membership is for lifetime! They never end your membership. You think you bought it only for one year. They automatically renew your membership for another year without your knowledge and continue charging... More

Tourists coming to NY in the summer may be overwhelmed by the heat. When this occurs, rent a car, go over the George Washington Bridge and take the NJ Turnpike to exit 7A, and you will be at Great Adventures. During the heat I recommend the Jungle Safari. You have the AC on in the car, and the animals come... More

My husband and I lived by the park for almost 5 years. For 4 seasons we had the passport. It's an amazing option to have fun with family and friends.

King Da Ka is one of the best rides ever. King Da Ka is the tallest roller coaster in the world, and it is awesome. Usually wooden roller coasters bang up my back, but El Torre is very smooth.

Lines were a little long. Zumanjaro Drop of Doom was not open yet when we visited, though the website said opening late spring, and there was only a few days left of spring. All in all, the park was fun, clean and had a variety of good rides.

I absolutely love this place, I live nearby and have been going here since I was a child, and it just keeps getting better and better each year! This theme park is built around thrill rides, roller coasters, and other free fall type rides, if you're not into these style rides there are some others, but these make up the... More

Great thrill ride experience for all ages, given kids short of 48' are going to miss a lot of the action but they do have some attractions. We love it so much, have season pass for 2015, we already visited 3 times in 2014 with the passes!!! Looking forward to a great spring and summer fun filled thrill rides. Parking... More
