It's easy to find...easy to like. Some of the sculptures are really really tall, some are funny, plenty are attractive. There are many sculptures of people who are so lifelike, you'll just want to be on your guard not to be fooled by them. Take lots of pictures and have some fun. Oh, BTW. there were a few trees that... More

Grounds for Sculpture is designed so that big open-air sculptures are located in a a series of man-made natural environments of trees, shrubs, water and stone. Both sculptures and the specially designed 'gardens' harmonise, each to the other's benefit. There are also a couple of indoor spaces for visiting exhibitions. It's a brilliant idea, and it works. The grounds are... More

This place is so amazingly real that I almost walked up and touched a real person! There's something to be discovered around almost every bush and tree. And don't forget to open the doors or you'll miss something. The sculptures are interesting in themselves but some of them you really have to study to get the full effect. Like the... More

I can't believe that this place is still relatively unknown after all these years. Rat's Restaurant is incredible - five star - and the many sculptures of the Impressionist paintings hidden all over the magnificent grounds of this place have to be seen. And all of the other sculptures. This is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon, or eat... More

Grounds for Sculpture is unique in that it contains numerous large outdoor-pieces visually separated from each other, several smaller pieces scattered in outdoor nooks and crannies, and a few buildings with indoor displays, yet it remains a walkable park that can be enjoyed in a single day. It would be a delightful place without the sculpture. The sculpture makes it... More

People come to visit from New York, PA, Connecticut, let alone from our home state of NJ. A veritable and unique artistic paradise, especially for the garden state, and even more so for the Mercer county, not otherwise distinguished by artistic life (with an exception of insular Princeton). Definitely a top-notch attraction for both adults and children. Definitely your time... More

This is the story of a dream which intersected with serendipity. A place of enchantment. Peace. Marvel. Seward Johnson (yes, those Johnson's) bought an old barren property back in the eighties and crafted, along with architect Brian Carey and director of facilities Bruce Daniels a mecca for beauty that is ever evolving. An arboretum, a sculpture garden, an education center... More

Beautifully done sculpture park. You need a pretty day to take advantage of all this attraction has to offer. There are indoor exhibits and the café food is adequate. Peacocks roam the grounds--beautiful.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to tour the grounds before or after having dinner at the fabulous Rat's restaurant on site.
