A bit of a haul from northern NJ but well worth the time. We usually don't take the tours but our guide added to the experience, his knowledge of each piece added to our enjoyment. Our tour had about 16 people and you have to get close to the guide to hear about the art. I would recommend a headset... More

We arrived about 10 minutes before the tour began, so we decided to take tour. We were not disappointed. Our... More

The Grounds for Sculpture is an incredible place for an outdoor adventure. It's easy to see all the various sculptures by just walking the paths. I definitely recommend taking a tour with one of the knowledgeble guides (ours was an Art student at TCNJ). We had lunch at the Ratz Restaurant and sat outside with a view of the Monet... More

Grounds for sculpture is a great venue to go for couples or families with kids. The grounds are well maintained and have a variety of changing vignettes that highlight the sculptures that are presented there. There are modern pieces as well as more classical. The parts that struck me are the life size pieces that are common throughout the grounds... More

This is a wonderful experience. Many years ago, it was the New Jersey State Fairgrounds. J,Seward Johnson, an American Sculptor, spearheaded the development of the Grounds for Sculpture. Residents of the Princeton NJ area are familiar with Johnson's exquisite bronzes which are peppered throughout the town. The park is set in 42 landscaped acres in Hamilton, NJ. As you approach... Creativity on a large scale. Beautiful gardens and walking trails.. Look in any direction and you will see amazing sculptures. Make it a full afternoon and eat at the restaurant with the most deceiving name "Rat's"
