Suggested by a friend & having my grandchildren (ages 7 & 4) on a Saturday morning, I decided to try out this out of the way zoo. We drove approx. 70miles to reach this destination. The most polite way to describe this zoo is "rustic". Upon arrival, a sign was posted that the parking lot was "full". I found that... More

Inexpensive day trip for families. This last time visited I took my Grandson but over the years have been there many times. Enjoyed seeing different types of animals and they sell food to feed them. The only thing I didn't like was that most of the walkways were just dirt and this made it a little hard to push the... More

When my husband and I travel, we try to make it a point to stop at an attraction featuring animals. We were, therefore, delighted to learn from a local about Popcorn Park. Part zoo, part wildlife refuge, all worthwhile experience, this attraction lives up to its reputation. Kids enjoy feeding popcorn to the animals (so did we older kids, by... More

Great place for families with young children. You and the kids get to feed the animals popcorn. Brilliant! Bring some snacks and have a picnic right outside the zoo. Very reasonably priced. Free parking.

It's really close to where I live so made it convenient for something to do for about an hour or so. The reptile area was closed so that could have easily added 5-10 minutes to our time there. I like what they do there for the animals so I go so that my few dollars can help. A little updating... More

As was previously stated, you have to park on Lacey Road and then cross that onto their dirt lane. The walk doesn't bother me as much as crossing the busy, heavily traveled road, especially with small children. The zoo is cute and you'll see everything in about a half hour. It's just a nice little trip for the kids. HOWEVER,... More

I took my 6 year old niece, her friend, my 3 year old nephew, and my 7 month old baby. The zoo is the perfect size for little legs, they wont get bored from walking It was a great day! Even the little ones enjoyed it! Definitely going back again this summer! Love how all of the animals are saved!

While visiting New Jersey there were 7 of my family members who visited the zoo. While it is a small zoo it is great to see so many animals having been rescued. It is fun to be able to feed the animals popcorn and very affordable admission price. Young kids will enjoy getting up close to animal enclosures.

I gotta start by responding to some people who have noted that the zoo is small and that there aren't a lot of animals. Thank God!!!!! This is a home of last resort for abandoned/surrendered, rescued, abused or ailing animals. I would be happiest if the zoo was empty as a testament that animals were treated better. As it is,... Inexpensive day outing. Get there early to be able to park free near the Zoo; otherwise, you'll be <1/4 mile away. We always buy popcorn there to feed the animals. Operated as a non-profit rescue haven for domestic and unusual pets as well as zoo animals. Cats and dogs are available to rescue adoption. Grandson has ALL their animals as... More
