We've lived in the area for several years, and had Northlandz on the radar as an attraction to visit, but held off after reading the negative reviews here and elsewhere. I'm sorry we waited so long. Northlandz is a phenominal display of miniature engineering. I can't even begin to think about the planning and construction that went into this display;... more

Northlandz is still a great place to see a fine series of layouts, arranged in a unique and asthetically pleasing manner. Children and adults alike will marvel at the bridges, the "Grandma's pit", and the countless industrial settings and tunnels. It doesn't diminish with time, and this is certainly a world-class facility in many ways. Anyone who has a penchant... more

We visited Northlandz for the 2nd time yesterday (hadn't been there in several years) and enjoyed it as we had the first time. Yes - there are some small portions of the displays that are in need of repair, but it's typically areas where people can reach and obviously have taken it upon themselves to damage it. The overall layout... more

I took our two boys, ages 13 and 10 to Northlandz. They LOVED it. We took about an hour to get through the whole place. They were not bothered, did not notice, the stained rugs, the dusty air and the general feeling of disrepair about the place. They were just wowed. I am glad we went. I think the owner... more

Northlandz is an absolute disgrace. It is dirty and run down. It reminded me of someone's home displayed only magnified 110%. The cost for two adults and one child was close to $50. Way too much money for how run down the place is. It is self guided. It took us two hours to walk through. The place is actually... more

Absolutely filthy and run down. It looks like the kind of place you could get murdered in and your body would not get discovered for years. Hardly any trains running. Holes in the layouts and it goes on forever. No guided tours or explanations of layouts. It was once magnificent I'm sure. Only for a hard-core enthusiast or a... more

We visited Northlandz recently - returning after many years. We were very disappointed to see just how far down the display had come. There were few trains - and the ones that were operating were very short. When we were there before, there were MANY LONG trains, sometimes fifty cars it seemed. The longest now is probably six cars. There... more

If you or your kids like trains this is a great place to visit. If you have ever set up a model train layout you will really appreciate this place. I've been to a few toy train museums and this is definitely the best one. You can easily spend a few hours and not see anything twice. more

We went to visit Nortlandz in Flemington NJ on Jan 19th 2009. Overall the experience was good. Pros:- 1. Lots of trains, bridges, and tunnels, great fun for the chidren. 2. For the older folks they also have an amphitheatre where organ music is played. But on the day that we were there Bruce was not playing for some reason.... more

I was just at Northlandz yesterday and am glad that I did despite some of the reviews I had seen here. We did not notice and dust or (many) fingerprints, everything was neat. First of all, my family felt welcome right from the start, the owner greets everyone and you can tell how much passion he has for this place.... more
