We went on a cold snowy day which was part of the fun. The husband and wife team who run the preserve were so caring. Got to give them a lot of credit as it must be a lot of work. Seeing the wolves was very cool. But even better was when they all howled together.

Our visit was very poor. I would not recommend this as a destination for families with special needs and/or rowdy children. Here is what happened. Let me start by saying that my son has ADHD. It is a serious disability, one that is often misunderstood to just be rowdiness or misbehavior. This disability affects his impulse control. People often misinterpret... More

First of all we have no problem with children, we have a long list of schools that visit every year and just read all of our other reviews from parents and families who have visited. I find it interesting that our only 2 bad reviews are from parents who’s children were doing just what we asked them not to do... More

Had a fun day learning about wolves, fox and bobcat & seeing them up close; got nice pics despite the chain linked fence; they have a cute gift shoppe. Highlight of the day was when they got the wolves howling, gave me goose bumps! Cons: had around 60 to 70 people in our touring group which made it difficult to... More

Tripadvisor reviews were once again spot on- educational and interesting enough to keep the kids off their electronic devices- for a while at least! Very memorable experience- the animals are beautiful, the owners are exceptional teachers and the chance to hear the eerie wolfpack howl is worth the price of admission.

Lakota Wolf Preserve is an interesting diversion in western New Jersey. These people are passionate about the wolves, and they know their stuff. There are different varieties of wolves in the enclosures, and the commentary is very informative. They also have bobcat and foxes on the property as part of the tour. Check the times and call ahead on weekdays.... More

This place is amazing! The animals are beautiful and well cared for, The staff members are genuine and you can tell they really care about these animals and the shrinking habitats for all of Americas wildlife. I highly recommend a visit and tour if you are anywhere near this preserve.

Wonder experience. Very educational! The owners are extremely knowledgeable and kind! I wish there was adult tours and children tours though because the children can be really loud during the presentation but it really didn't affect the quality of the talk. I learned a lot about foxes, bobcats and wolves! I can't wait to go back!

First off, I did not do the tour but I checked the place out in advance for elderly guests. The road to the preserve can be steep but it does handle plenty of Rvs. I imagine it can be icy in winter, so take care. I believe the reviews are accurate that this is an amazing place, but there are... More

thank you for the 5 star review but Seems kind of unfair to write a review at all, when all you did was drive by? if it was a weekday yes we do class trips for schools so there could have been kids there. we are not going to turn away someone if their hair is pink! Weekdays are also... More
