Went with another adult and 4 children (ranging from 5 years to 10 years old). They do a great job with stating cash or check only and the check in process is streamed lined. They state that the tour is 90 minutes, I would say it's more like 45 minutes. They had to do 3 shuttle trips to get everyone... More

My family & I visited the Lakota Wolf preserve & can whole heartedly recommend a visit. The wolves are beautiful, their surroundings are pristine & the care given them is beyond reproach. The owners adore these beautiful animals & the feeling is mutual. Our guide Jim (one of the owners) answered every question with great knowledge. The care of all... More

We had heard of the reserve, so we wanted to see it for ourselves and it is wonderful to see how these animals live in their natural habitat. We were told of the family hierarchy and the different packs and got to witness a howling session. It was real cute when one of the pups was howling along with the... More

We love wolves..all animals really. We were really impressed with how nice this place is. The animals are all well taken care of and the tour was so wonderful and informative. Well worth the drive.

We visited while camping at Camp Taylor. A shuttle bus takes you up the mountain to the preserve from the Camp Taylor office. You must make reservations. You get a discounted price for the preserve when camping there. You are brought into areas that are in the middle of the segregated wolf areas which are fenced in and listen to... More

My husband and I visited today. We really enjoyed it. You actually get to see the wolves way more than I thought we would. Owner Jim Stein was excellent teaching about the wolves and very entertaining. You can tell how much he cares for these animals. I would definitely recommend this if you are in the area. From kids to... More

Great day trip with the family, pack a picnic, camera and binoculars and you're set. If you are a photographer, I think you can forgo the "photography tour @ $300" and get good shots anyway. The general tour will allow you to decide if you want to invest in the photography tour.

My husband and I came here based on things to do in New Jersey by Trip Advisor. First off....WOW!!! The Lakota Wolf Preserve is located on the grounds of Camp Taylor. We were instructed to park our car and check in at the Camp office. We loaded onto our buses for the drive up to the preserve. Once up there,... More

The wolf preserve is run by a couple who obviously care immensely about the wolves. You purchase your tickets at the camp store (preserve is on campground property) and then you can either hike up the hill to the preserve or ride in the shuttle bus. Wolf tour times are 10:30 and 4:00 and we arrived around 3:00 for the... More
