We love making the day drip to to the Garden State Museum with my son. It is a very clean, very well ran children's museum. All the hands on exhibits are in good condition, and there is a wide variety to suit all interests. My son's favorite is the diner. There is a cafe and a neat science shop on... More

I have been here on a field trip, for a birthday party and just to take the kids. Great fun for little ones! The set up of a couple exhibits makes it difficult to keep you eye on the little ones, but other rooms it is easy. More

My review might be dated -- it's been a few years since I've been there. At that point, my kids loved it but things seem worn down. Hopefully it's been updated because the ideas are strong and definitely a good time. More

How long has it been since you have been to the museum? We have definitely made some changes in the past few years! Last year we opened the Dinosaurium, in fact, we recently completed phase two of the exhibit and re-opened it last week. We would love for you to come visit us again!! If and when you do, please... My son was 8 when I brought him here. The website and people at the counter said it was for kids up to 12. I think they need to adjust that because I don't know what 12 year old kid could even fit in some fo their exibits. It is definately suited for younger kids. My son at 8 was... More

The recommended age bracket for the museum is 12 months old to 10 years of age. We do host events that are for the entire family, no matter the age. We also rent out the museum for parties, family reunions, baby showers, office parties; so you will at times see a variety of age groups enjoying the museum. We definitely... More

We have been to the Garden State Discovery Museum a couple of times, and our child enjoys it every time. The exhibits are very clean, well organized, and interactive. Our child really liked the dress up stage area, the mini construction site, and the bubbles. It is a little bit more compact than the Please Touch Museum which is also... More

I go to all my niece and nephew's birthday parties here. I like how the place is interactive, but still has an emphasis on learning. The place is pretty big with lots to do. Everyone always seemed to love it! More

I hosted my twins first birthday party at the museum. I had been there before with my other children, but never attended a party. Prior to hosting my event, I went to the museum to view the party rooms as I had read on TA that they were rather small. The staff let me look at them and I thought... More

We have been visiting the Garden State Discovery Museum for years. We love this place! They have so many activities for children of all ages. I love the little discoveries and crawler pond for my infant daughter. The exhibits are engaging and as a teacher, I appreciate their connections to learning and exploring. The facilities are well- maintained and clean.... More

Exterior is an old office 1 story building, not impressive at all; there is no proper signage and very little parking space. Interior is old and drap, no natural light, very congested Seems like a daycare made into a play area The contents seem really old, gloomy and used I felt as though it would be infested with germs I'd...
