This discovery museum is a fun place for my 2 yr old. We have season passes and she absolutely loves it. There are many areas that can easily keep her busy for 1 to 2 hours. There are a few downsides. It can get very crowded with groups so call ahead. If you have a younger child and it is... More

Had heard about this place from others, was not disappointed when saw it for ourselves. There's more to do for toddlers and older than infants, but now we know where to go when our baby is older.

I am a member of this place for almost a year now and I got a family membership for my 1 year son, who is now a toddler. Here are my views: FIRST IMPRESSION It looked dirty to me the first time I entered the place. May be it needs some renovation of exhibits, carpets are old and roughly used... More

This was our second visit and my kids still love it at 5 & 6. We spent almost five hours there and could have easily stayed longer. Lots of fun play sections.

Fun place for children to explore. Real experiences or as close to real as possible. I liked that the staff was around, though not intrusive. Some areas got chaotic, things thrown all over the place, and I imagine things are not cleaned/sanitized as much as I would like but it comes with the territory. Definitely on the list of faves... My host kids had a blast going here and they were playing the whole time and it was a challenge getting them to go home. A little pricy but try to go to a library nearby, they offer tickets for free if they have them in and available. Great cafeteria with a good selection of food but you are also... More

Even though we live about 45 minutes away and have a local children's museum within minutes of our house, I gladly make the drive to the Garden State Discovery Museum when possible because of its superior quality compared to our local museum. The Discovery Museum has tons of interesting exhibits, but being a mother to a toddler, we most enjoy... More

the children loved it, grandchildren loved it, interesting, educational and fun but unfortunately very expensive when you have a family attending...many find it unaffordable.

My toddler had fun here, but I was a little grossed out. Some of the things that the children play with can't be washed and are just a place harboring germs - like felt and stuffed animals. A lot of parents brought their sick kids. Nothing more disgusting than seeing your child play next to a kid with the flu.... More

My first experience at this location was on a school field trip -- as a chaperone, it was a bit much to keep track of the kids as the "exhibits" flow into each other. There are a few that are partitioned off and aid in "containing" a group, but for the most part it was STRESSFUL. I would definitely prefer... More
