What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Cape May! Enjoyed a tour of the home, and then on to the café for afternoon tea on the patio with a view of the gardens.

The tour we took was nice. Would have liked to spend more time exploring each room but it is nicely restored. You really get a sense of the times of old looking through the house. Well worth the time and ticket price.

A lot of research has gone into the story we tell our visitors about the Physick Estate and the family that lived there. Our guides spend a good deal of time training and enjoy sharing their love for the house with our visitors. Thanks for coming to see us. More

We only got to drive by and drop off people who were going to see the mansion. But we did get to see the Halloween scrawcrows that were set up in front of the mansion

Halloween is a big holiday in Cape May. Scarecrow Alley has sprung up on the grounds of the Physick Estate. All the scarecrows have been created by local community groups, school kids and families. You can vote for your favorite while you're here. There are some ghosts and goblins around at this time of year and it does seem that... More

We're glad you enjoyed your visit with us. Our guides enjoy leading visitors through the estate and sharing their love for this old building. A lunch at the Carriage House Café & Tearoom just seems to carry the experience a little further. More

When touring Dr. Physicks former estate of the Emlen Physick house, also on the same grounds of the Mid Atlantic center for the Arts is the Carriage House Gallery, Gift Shop and Tea Room. We just had a lovely elegant afternoon tea on the outside porch as the Scarecrows were being placed on the lawn for the annual Scarecrow Alley... More

Our Café will be closing for the season on November 2. With its tented patio and adjacent garden, it's a lovely place to spend an afternoon. We're glad you enjoyed yourself. More

Liked the tour, but were confused about where to get tickets. There was a fair going on and the signs were not clear as to where to go. I did find the workers helpful

Our family toured the Physick Estate on a beautiful fall weekend. Our tour guide provided good historical background but her delivery style was disjointed and at times difficult to follow. The house is very nicely decorated with a number of original pieces, but, reportedly there were no images or written description of the house, leaving a number of questions. The... More

We're fortunate to have many original family pieces in our collection but there are no direct descendants and the architect's records were destroyed. We've collected history from archives of local newspapers and from family members of neighbors and servants. It tells an interesting story. We're glad you visited with us. More

This is a beautifully restored/preserved estate. The docents are knowledgeable and cheery. We learned a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. You can't stay at the beach all day every day. Try this! You'll love it.

Cape May has many attractions beyond the beach and the Physick Estate is certainly one of the best. The preservation/restoration work has been going on for 44 years now, as has research into Victorian lifestyle and the Physick Family. It tells an interesting story of life as lived in Cape May more than 100 years ago. Thank you for visiting... More

This is a great stop for lovers of local history and historic homes. We arrived early for our tour and enjoyed a light lunch of soup and assorted cakes and scones in the adjacent cafe. The cafe is actually a restored and repurposed carriage house, with tables set within what were originally horse stalls. Quaint and creative! The property itself... More

The restoration of the Estate is on-going. A barn that was donated to the organization and not original to the property is a project awaiting funding. The Physick House has been restored and contains many original family artifacts, which help us tell the story of life in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Thank you for visiting with us. More

We visited with three teen grandchildren and they all enjoyed the tour and were interested in how people used to live . The new air conditioning made it much more pleasant then in the past.

Thank you for bringing your grandkids. We love it when kids make connections to how things used to be. The Physick Estate can be a learning lab and a fun one at that. We're glad you enjoyed your experience. More
