If you like old Victorians this is a must see! Between the wood work and the history it's the best 45 minutes to spend.

Dr. Physick's estate has been beautifully restored. Even the reproductions of furniture revoke the style and manner of this grand house.

For the past several years we have been enjoying going into old mansions that have been turned into museums. This place was stunning inside, I wish I could show you some pictures but they don't allow inside pictures. The tour lasts 45 minutes and you ever get to see the kitchen and you are given all kinds of fun and... More

Outstanding preserved piece of Cape May's storied Victorian history which is a museum. You will enjoy your visit and tour immensely and if you are fortunate to visit in Autumn or during the Christmas season, be prepared to be wowed. Yes, it is that beautiful.

A very nice way to get an overview of the history and architecture of Cape May. Gives you an idea where you may want to stroll afterward to get a more lingering look at the homes. The guides on the trolley and at the estate were very knowledgeable.

The Combination Trolley/Physick Estate Tour is probably the best way to get acquainted with Cape May. It combines a guided trolley tour of the historic district with a guided tour of the Physick Estate, which was the home of Dr. Emlen Physick, his mother and his aunt. The estate opens the window on life as it was lived in the... More

This was a bit of a different house tour emphasizing the attraction of the time to integrate nature into their decorating. The tour of the home was nice and the guide was interesting. Bought a combination ticket for this plus a trolley tour of Cape May.

Each year, a new theme is incorporated in the tour at the Physick Estate. This year, it's the Victorians fascination with nature, which they demonstrated in their homes with collections of shells, rocks, stuffed animals and mounted butterflies. The Estate also offers themed seasonal tours during Halloween and the holiday season. Please come again to enjoy us in a different... More

With not a whole lot to do you might like to take a look into Victorian life in New Jersey that is the extent of the interest this estate holds. Emlen Physick was a wealthy land owner but did not do anything of great import except have an important ancestor. If you are desperate for some thing to do this... More

The Physick Estate offers an intimate glimpse into how life was lived in the Victorian era. The house is full of implements of every day life, from kitchen gadgets to musical instruments which help tell the story of pre-electric life. It can be a great way to get kids to think about living without computers and video games. Thank you... More

The a.c. do not work well. It was a warm day. It was in the high 70's and one person started to feel sick because it is was too hot and stuffy inside. Another person left after the second room because it was too hot.

The Victorians used shutters, tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows as their form of air-conditioning. At the Physick Estate, we supplement that with some window air conditioning units to provide some relief from unusually hot weather. We hope you'll give us another try. More
