This is a beautifully restored/preserved estate. The docents are knowledgeable and cheery. We learned a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. You can't stay at the beach all day every day. Try this! You'll love it.

This is a great stop for lovers of local history and historic homes. We arrived early for our tour and enjoyed a light lunch of soup and assorted cakes and scones in the adjacent cafe. The cafe is actually a restored and repurposed carriage house, with tables set within what were originally horse stalls. Quaint and creative! The property itself... More

The restoration of the Estate is on-going. A barn that was donated to the organization and not original to the property is a project awaiting funding. The Physick House has been restored and contains many original family artifacts, which help us tell the story of life in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Thank you for visiting with us. More

We visited with three teen grandchildren and they all enjoyed the tour and were interested in how people used to live . The new air conditioning made it much more pleasant then in the past.

Thank you for bringing your grandkids. We love it when kids make connections to how things used to be. The Physick Estate can be a learning lab and a fun one at that. We're glad you enjoyed your experience. More

As a part of our stay in Cape May we visited the house and were very impressed with the condition, also the guide on the tour was knowledgeable with regard to the Doctor and his family. The conclusion of tour came with a visit to the Tea Room where we were served by one of the nicest, good humored waitresses... More

We're glad you enjoyed your experience at the Physick Estate. The house is beautiful and we're very lucky to have many original family artifacts to help us tell our story. The volunteers who gathered together to save the house from the wrecker's ball put a lot of love into its restoration and our current volunteers and staff continue that tradition.... More

We received the tour of the Physick Estate through a tour we took with the Atlantic City Marriott Vacation Club. We got a bus from the resort and then transferred to a Cape May trolley. The trolley showed us the sights and dropped us off at the Estate. Since we had two large men with our party we decided not... More

We're glad you enjoyed your experience in Cape May. The Historic District Trolley is the best way to get an overview of the town and its beautiful Victorian architecture. You'll have to come back to tour the Physick Estate. It's a real treasure with many original family artifacts. Thanks for visiting. More

Nice historic home and tour ( we bought a Lolly the Trolley tour that included this). Many original pieces in the home as well.

We're fortunate to have many original family pieces in our collection and they help us tell the story of how Dr. Physick and his mother and maiden aunt lived in the house. The house is attributed to architect Frank Furness and is unusual compared to many other Cape May Victorians. Thank you for visiting. More

We have toured the estate several times over the years, and each time the staff has been very professional, dressing in period costume. Most recently did the Christmas tour and it was very good.

During certain times of the year, our tours are done in costume and occasionally in the first person (you may actually get to visit with a family member). The holiday season, with the house decorated in authentic Victorian style, is great fun, for our staff and visitors. Thank you for visiting. More

Great tour guides with very interesting stories about the estate and its occupants! Lovely lunch offerings in the carriage house, even my husband loved the "tea" options of sandwiches, scones, cinnamon breads, muffins and desserts on a multi-tiered plate presentation...and we got the middle-sized selection...delicious!

Visited the home as part of the historic trolley tour. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and made both the house and trolley portions well-worthwhile.

Nothing exciting here. Well-read docent staff. But, if you are not a history buff concerning small town news makers then you will be bored stiff.

The Physick Estate, like many small house museums, helps connect us with our past. It certainly helps to be a history buff, but there lessons to be learned here. The house is attributed to Frank Furness, an architect who influenced those who followed him. Thanks for stopping by. More
