Nice historic home and tour ( we bought a Lolly the Trolley tour that included this). Many original pieces in the home as well.

We're fortunate to have many original family pieces in our collection and they help us tell the story of how Dr. Physick and his mother and maiden aunt lived in the house. The house is attributed to architect Frank Furness and is unusual compared to many other Cape May Victorians. Thank you for visiting. More

We have toured the estate several times over the years, and each time the staff has been very professional, dressing in period costume. Most recently did the Christmas tour and it was very good.

During certain times of the year, our tours are done in costume and occasionally in the first person (you may actually get to visit with a family member). The holiday season, with the house decorated in authentic Victorian style, is great fun, for our staff and visitors. Thank you for visiting. More

Great tour guides with very interesting stories about the estate and its occupants! Lovely lunch offerings in the carriage house, even my husband loved the "tea" options of sandwiches, scones, cinnamon breads, muffins and desserts on a multi-tiered plate presentation...and we got the middle-sized selection...delicious!

Visited the home as part of the historic trolley tour. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and made both the house and trolley portions well-worthwhile.

Nothing exciting here. Well-read docent staff. But, if you are not a history buff concerning small town news makers then you will be bored stiff.

The Physick Estate, like many small house museums, helps connect us with our past. It certainly helps to be a history buff, but there lessons to be learned here. The house is attributed to Frank Furness, an architect who influenced those who followed him. Thanks for stopping by. More

Enjoyed learning about life in Victorian times. Beautiful home and property. Charming Cafe on premises. Interesting display regarding fires and firefighting in Cape May.

Dr. Physick's home is a time capsule of the Victorian era and we're fortunate to have many family artifacts for our visitors to enjoy. The Carriage House Gallery hosts changing exhibits throughout the year. You can certainly spend some enjoyable hours here. We're glad you visited with us. More

My visit to Cape May and Cape May Point was all the more rewarding due to my tour of the Emlen Physick Estate. It is truly a time capsule and a well-maintained historic attraction. The tour was creatively designed for me to "pretend to be a hired servant." The docent was a lovely lady, dressed in period servant's costume who... More

We took a recent day trip aboard the Cape May/Lewes Ferry. When arriving in town we purchased tickets for a tour of Victorian Cape May and this home. It was a great tour of this restored home. The tour director was great and knew the history. While Cape May has great beaches and shopping this tour is not to be... More

The building was well maintained and survived hurricane Sandy. The materials were authentic, and the guide, genuine. He was there when most stuff were collated mentioning the wallpaper emulation because of wear and tear, but everything else is still original. Beautiful designs inside. Only downfall, no photos allowed. Look for that chandelier at the entrance, and American wood used impressively... More

The restoration of the Physick Estate has been a labor of love for the volunteers and staff. We're happy that the interior is much as it was in 1899 and we've been able to return many family pieces to the home. Restorations have been done following research to make sure we are telling the authentic story. We're always happy to... More
