Check out one of the tours that they offer at this house as they are given in character, first person by one of the former occupants and are as interesting as they are educational about Victorian times. Good for families but if you have small children they may get bored or you may get tired keeping their hands from the... More

My fiancee and I visited The Estate as a break from the heat after some time on the beach. The tour was very interesting and informative. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in some Cape May history.

Strange family history and crazy big house all made for holiday fun. Our tour guide was in character as the auntie and was a delight. I thought I saw a dog in the kitchen but when I looked again it was not there. hmmm...the carriage house gift shop had a fun Dickens Village and train set up- very festive.

I'm happy you enjoyed your visit and spotted one of the "resident" dogs. If you want to learn more, check out the Physick Estate page on our web site. There's a link there to a page that talks more about the ghostly residents of the home, including the four-footed ones. Hope to see you again in Cape May! More

I went for their Victorian Christmas tour and was pleasantly surprised with how informative their staff was. Everyone was friendly and knew a great deal about the property as well as the history of the estate. The staff was able to answer questions and give us fun facts throughout the tour.

The tour at the holidays is fairly lame. The guides are doing a play as they take you from room to room. Nothing about the history of the house or the architecture. If you can ignore the play, you can actually get into most rooms, but the history is up to you, not the guides.

To visit this estate is to go back in time when pilgrims and explorers and developers came on the east cost. The artifacts are authentic and also the furniture and dishes and the pictures on the walls also the hosts are very interesting trough out your visit.

Did evening estate tour. They had few tours that day when they could have had more. They crammed 25 of us on one tour and forced us all to be in the same room, even the same half of the larger rooms like the music/entertaining connected rooms. No way to see the furnishings or house. Guides were rude when telling... More

I love this house, its restoration, and its cutting-edge architect. But go off the Christmas season. At Christmas, they have volunteer re-enactors blabber on endlessly about made up holiday blitherings as they walk though the house with tour groups. Not an iota about the history of the house, its design, the years of restoration, its role in the revitalization of... More

For the six weeks of the holiday season, we offer first person experiences to share how the holiday was celebrated in the Victorian era and to show the origins of many of the traditions we follow today. We do this a part of our mission to interpret Cape May's Victorian era and to fulfill visitors expectations. The rest of the... More

The Phsick estate was part of a holiday evening Christmas and light trolley tour. It is a lovely old estate decorated for Christmas in all its Victorian splendor. Fun surprise holiday display at end of tour.

The home was well decorated for Christmas. The tour guide plays the part of the aunt that once lived their. We got the combo tickets (trolley and house tour). The gentleman that gave us the tour of the town on our way to the home was great too! Very informative staff. We really liked it.
