If you wish to find a place away from the crowds and busy beach area, this is the place to visit. Well maintained paths through the marshlands that are filled with birds of all species, all up close and easy to obtain great photographs. Very enjoyable visit!

This is not fancy, no gift shop or eatery just....birds in their natural habitat. That's the way it should be. Gravel road all the way with overlooks on the ocean side. We're not birdwatchers usually, but when we visited we were. The highlight of the visit was when a family of geese crossed the path behind us, about 15 feet... More

We came here twice on our recent vacation. The first time to do some geocaching and as we walked along the path, we were joined by a very knowledgeable volunteer who gave us so much interesting background information and bird ID since birding is not really our thing. But it might be after spending time here! The second time was... More

Got there in the evening, lots of birds. The walk is very accessible; I spent about 90 minutes there; could have spent a bit more. The trail towards the lighthouse said it was a dead-end; so not sure if it does reach the Cape May Lighthouse or not. If I had the time, that is one trail I would have... More

We really enjoyed walking through this place. At the end of May, we missed most of the big migratory flights. We did see muskrats, swans, river otters, and many other tidal birds.

Well worth birding outings just after sunrise or before sunset. We have never been disappointed when we visit this location. The paths create an easy, leisurely opportunity to stroll while searching out wildlife.

Fabulous wildlife habitat maintained by The Nature Conservancy. Great for shorebirds and migrant songbirds in spring and fall. My find on this trip: nesting oystercatcher on the beach.

Thanks to the Nature Conservancy there have been a few pair of oyster catchers nesting on the beach. We have come in April both times so we have only seen the pairs together, not the chicks. Its a nice beach and hopefully people are considerate of the nesting season! Great path through marsh. If you like birding its a must... More
