Great naturalized spot!

Loved seeing the wildlife and learning from the information boards. It was a great experience to share with our grandchildren!

Wonderful nature walk with an opportunity to spot wildlife in marsh, lowland and beach habitats. Good exercise and a chance to walk on unspoiled beach-no swimming allowed

Easy walking trails and lots of red-winged blackbirds, tree swallows, shorebirds, ducks and swans to see along the way. There's even wild rabbits, butterflies and dragonflies. Lots to see in a small amount of space.

On my early morning beach jaunt, I was delightfully surprised to happen upon South Cape May Meadows with its bird sanctuary, ponds with swans and glorious summer flowers in full bloom. There are trails within the Meadows and and a few that take you on and off the beach. The Meadows are a popular destination for migratory birds, so it... More

The Meadows are on the road to the Cape May lighthouse, and definitely worth visiting if you enjoy nature. The trails here pass ponds and meadows to reach the beach. There is a nice view of the lighthouse along the way. We saw several species of birds -- and several birders with huge binoculars and telephoto lenses. This is a... More

There are many places to see birds around Cape May, South Cape May is a good choice as there is a boardwalk and different trails. We saw many birds, heard many other birds and saw a black snake.

If you wish to find a place away from the crowds and busy beach area, this is the place to visit. Well maintained paths through the marshlands that are filled with birds of all species, all up close and easy to obtain great photographs. Very enjoyable visit!

This is not fancy, no gift shop or eatery just....birds in their natural habitat. That's the way it should be. Gravel road all the way with overlooks on the ocean side. We're not birdwatchers usually, but when we visited we were. The highlight of the visit was when a family of geese crossed the path behind us, about 15 feet... More

We came here twice on our recent vacation. The first time to do some geocaching and as we walked along the path, we were joined by a very knowledgeable volunteer who gave us so much interesting background information and bird ID since birding is not really our thing. But it might be after spending time here! The second time was... More

Got there in the evening, lots of birds. The walk is very accessible; I spent about 90 minutes there; could have spent a bit more. The trail towards the lighthouse said it was a dead-end; so not sure if it does reach the Cape May Lighthouse or not. If I had the time, that is one trail I would have... More
