My husband and I began our recent winter holiday weekend in Cape May with a delightful performance of The Life and Times of Santa Claus at the East Lynne Theater. Gayle Stahlhuth's artful story-telling of L.Frank Baum's classic tale was mesmerizing. We look forward to including other East Lynne Theater productions in future visits to Cape May.

Each year East Lynne Theater Co. in Cape May wraps up its season with an all-American Christmas offering. Once again, East Lynne delivered the goods like no-one else can. L. Frank Baum's The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus was adapted for the stage and performed by Gayle Stahlhuth. A delightful tale which tells the origins of Santa Claus. Having... More

I had the pleasure of seeing Strictly Dishonorable recently at ELTC. It was a fantastic production with so many strong performances and excellent direction. The play was very engaging and kept us on the edge of our seats. Very funny.. the actors had great timing and it was also quite touching. The costuming was perfect and the set was resourceful... We annually go to the Cape once a year and always take in a East Lynne production. Its production is in a very pretty old church and scenery is very very minimal. Acting is always very good. Highly recommend it.

My wife and I saw Huckleberry Finn last night performed by the East Lynne Theater Co., in Cape May, NJ, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable show. James Rana did a superb job in adapting Mark Twain's novel it for the stage - and what an amazing cast! There are some great character actors in the ensemble. Thomas Raniszewski is... More

While this play is closing (and they got a standing ovation), this is great theatre company. Everytime we come to the Cape we attend the play they are offering and it is always wonderful. Recommended.

Since we live nearby, we attend almost all the productions staged by ELTC. We have never been disappointed. As history/literature buffs, we particularly enjoy the fact that plays are usually "gems from the past"; either American plays which were big hits in their day, but were all but forgotten, or classic tales, adapted by .Artistic Director, Gayle Stahlhuth. The current... More

We had the pleasure of seeing Mr . Lincoln at the East Lynne Theater last night. Gail Stahlhuth's production is art , history, and amazingly relevant to NOW. Her direction is subtle yet clear Tom Byrne is perfect as the President. His portrayal so simply convincing; the standing ovation was for both Abe Lincoln AND Tom Byrne. What a treat... More
