In July, my wife and a friend and I attended a performance of 'Mary, Mary" at Cape May Stage. Every year, we make it a priority to do dinner and a show. As usual, we got our tickets through Frescos (see separate review.) While the show itself (the story) did not meet the highest standards we expect from past experience,... More

This small intimate theater is a nice part of authentic Cape May experience. The former Visitor Welcome center is tastefully decorated, outfitted with comfortable seating and offers excellent performances by diverse cast. The only suggestion I would have is more contemporary repertoire.

At the Robert Shackleton Playhouse in Cape May, NJ (Cape May Stage), they have exhumed a play from the 1960s entitled "Mary Mary," a forgotten piece that should have been allowed to rest in peace. To great triumph, someone announced at the beginning that the play was written . . . by a woman. Cue the applause. That it was... More

My wife and I have enjoyed the entire season of plays this year. We subscribed to the opening night series and were delighted with the quality of each production. The theater is beautiful and the sets are imaginative and carefully made. We enjoyed it so much that we have subscribed for the entire 2015 season. By the way, opening night... More

We have been here multiple times over the years and have found most of the productions to be very well done and enjoyable. (ok sometimes a play just does't float your boat) If you like live theater, I would definitely recommend checking this out.

We went to see "Other Desert Cities" EXCELLENT performance. very well done. Fee to attend the play was very fair. Beautiful theater, and no bad seats in the house, plus the seats are some what "stadium" so each row is higher and you don't have to look at the back of someones head.

Outstanding show! The acting was exceptional. This little playhouse consistently chooses interesting, compelling, often amusing material. I highly recommend Cape May Stage.

This is a beautiful little theater that always had good productions with quality actors. I just saw Other Desert Cities with Kate McCauley Hathaway ( Anne Hathaway's mother), Robert Newman, from Guiding Light and Patrick Cannon. The performances were just outstanding. I love this theater. If you like theater at all, you will enjoy the plays put on at this... More

We recently saw a performance of Other Desert Cities. I found the actors to be top notch. The theater itself is very lovely and well run with very friendly staff.
