We are a horse-drawn carriage company. We provide guided tours through Historic district of Cape May.We would like to fully explain why we do not accept credit cards. We are located at the corner of Ocean and Washington St. we have a small unprotected mobile table that has no power,no phone and no protection from the weather. We cannot get a phone jack which is needed to take credit cards because we do not have a store front.Cape May is an island with terrible satellite and cell reception therefore the mobile credit card devices also do not help us.There are other very expensive mobile devices that are weather sensitive and do to the fact that we have no protection from the elements ,that is not an option either. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to some .There is an ATM located directly behind where we are parked. We hope that you enjoy the horse and carriages and the joy, and beauty they bring to the hundreds of people who ride each year.

We have taken many horse and carriage rides from the Cape May Carriage Company. They have always been friendly and professional. They also enjoy the safety of guests and the horses. Often times you can walk up and make your reservation, they only accept cash so come prepared or there is a atm nearby. The guides are very knowledgeable and... More

We booked our carriage ride online a couple months before we visited. We learned all kinds of "fun facts" about the area and different houses we passed. The kids loved it also. The horses were dressed up with flowers and painted hooves. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Requires planning as they don't take reservations ahead. Basically you have to put your name in and stay pretty close to the pick-up spot to hear your name called or you miss out. Horses are dressed up to create personalities but many look tired and be forewarned that while they do a good job allowing horses relief, the pick up... More

A little pricey but we had a great time. Our guide was excellent and gave us quite a bit of Cape May history. She even showed us the oldest house in the Cape! Recommended

The tour that feature the history of the Victorian Homes and the area was very good. I would avoid the ghost tour. Went on the both of them thinking the ghost tour would be fun but it wasn't that good.

Made RSVP online as I wanted to surprise my husband for his 55th b-day. Originally made time for 7pm. Quickly realized that time would rush dinner so I emailed twice and left a voice mail asking if I could push time back a half hour. The confirmation email states to call or email if you have any questions. When I... More

We enjoy hearing something different each time we take a carriage ride. It is a wonderful way to see the town and learn about Cape May's history. The drivers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

one of the most schlocky attractions i've ever seen. over-priced. and since the streets of cape may are barely large enough for cars and parking the carriages of more of a nuisance in the neighborhood. i realized that horses smell but these poor animals really could use better levels of care.

The carriage is very enjoyable. The driver we had was knowledgeable about Cape May. It was $50.00 for the carriage ride but the grandkids liked it as much as us adults. It's a good idea to book a time in advance. you can get the number online
