Really ... there is something for everyone in the Washington Street Mall area of Cape May. Early September, it was still a little tough to find parking ... we did find a church you could park at for a donation ... I can't imagine parking during the height of tourist season. BUT ... it is a great little area ...... More

I have lived in NJ 20 years and had never been to Cape May. We stayed in a beach motel about 2 blocks from here (see Beach Shack review). This is such a cute little beach, shopping district. Lots of ice cream places and beachy-stores. I really liked the fact that almost every store was open until 9:30pm on Saturday!... More

Some shops are junk shops but there are interesting shops and galleries mixed in. We found two unique T-shirts and a pair of earrings.

A trip to the shore doesn't seem complete without a stroll through the Washington Street Mall even if you don't intend to buy a thing. There are many adorable little shops (some date back to my childhood & my daughter now loves them - thank you Zoo Company & Whale's Tale) as well as a variety of restaurants, cafes and... More

Cape May is a city at the southern tip of Cape May Peninsula in Cape May County, New Jersey, where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. This is one of the oldest vacation resort destinations in the U.S. so it is very historic. I especially appreciate the many examples of Victorian architecture. There are so many cozy bed and... More

Great way to spend a leisurely few hours. There are stores to fit almost all needs from high end jewelry to bargain gift shops. There are a number of good food places that range from very fancy to very casual. There are also ice cream and fudge places every few feet or so. A few highlights worth mentioning include Uncle... First time to Cape May! We had a lovely time walking around Cape May and the Washington Street Mall. We were lucky to find parking in the metered lot behind the mall (Only $1 per hour).

Enjoyable time. This is a small town with many small shops to spend your time shopping. And when you are done there are many restaurants to have a good meal. There are Horse and Buggy rides where you can learn the history of Cape May, Trolley Ride, Mansion Tours. Fudge shops T-shirt Shops, Jewelry, etc. They have restrooms close by... More

So many little shops to visit - food, clothes, souvenirs, art, - you name it and it is there. It is a nice walk and shop keepers are very friendly ( of course so one spends money). There is even a church for visitors. Lots of action on the mall. Left too much money on that mall. HAHA!

Visited Henry's and purchased a neat pendant. Have never seen one like it anywhere else. The clerk who waited on me was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed chatting about exotic gems. I will definitely go back there again. Visit to Beach Bums was another story. Something went wrong with transaction of a gift card and when we asked... More
