Did not really know what to expect but after we found Delaware and the location of the Center, thanks to the map in our resort guide, it was relaxing, entertaining (the staff at the counter are very helpful) and educational.

Make sure you have a couple hours to walk through all the trails if that's your plans. Make sure to take your time and look hard for the turtle in one of the ponds, he is hard to see!

Interesting and educational place to visit. Has store with books and quality items. They had a Night Ghost Crab event on beach that was fun for every age group. I stop here every year.

This Center has a continual list of activities that you should check out. The Center itself is nice and has a beautiful deck that overlooks the Cape May Harbour with binoculars for all. There is also a small nature area with the story of an estuary. We have been on two tours offered by this organization and they have been... More

While the exhibits are geared for young kids, I enjoyed the 3rd floor lookout for a great view of the harbor.( they are happy to loan people binoculars) Then I sat on the 2nd floor deck and enjoyed the view in comfort, reading my book while my daughter did stand-up paddleboarding. The rental place shares the premises which made it... More

Not much to see here. This place is geared for elementary school aged children. Classroom for local nature education and lab. 2nd floor (above gift shop) there is a balcony lookout that overlooks harbor (binoculars supplied). Kyak rentals across the street.

We visited the Nature Center during our vacation trip to Cape May and though it was nice, there really wasn't much there. A few terrariums in the main building and a couple tanks in the lab area. The best part was the volunteer in the lab who explained the horseshoe crabs that they had on site. There are other activities... More

We hike here along the beach from town. Always quiet. Wildlife everywhere. Watched a muskrat paddling about for about an hour. Bring water if it is hot, and binoculars if you've got 'em
