The Battleship NJ is one of just a few Iowa class battleships. The ship served in many conflicts, including WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, and the first Gulf conflict. I did the self-guided tour option. Basically, you enter the ship and then follow a red line as it takes you through various parts of the ship. You dont see the entire... More

I had always wanted to visit the Battleship NEW JERSEY (BB62), as I had already visited six of the eight former USN battleships that have now retired as memorial museums. I finally got my chance when I was visiting nearby Philadelphia. The ship is impressive to say the least, and you need several visits to see most of it. Although... More

My grandfather was in the Navy so this tour was very enlightening and interesting for me. We basically did a self-tour, followed the paths, went up and down ladder stairs, from one end to the other. Very fascinating. Loved it.

On our last day in Philadelphia we decided to go to the Adventure Aquarium across the Delaware River in Camden NJ. We arrived before it opened so decided to first go to the USS New Jersey Battleship Museum that is nearby. Well, we never did end up at the aquarium. On the battleship, we met many veterans from WWII and... More

My Husband and I were able to have a day trip to the Battleship New Jersey in September of 2014. The staff was so pleasant and friendly. We were given fantastic help and met many intelligent staff members. We did a self-guided tour and had so much fun trying bunks out, walking through out the different floors, Captain's Quarters, the... More

I have toured these museum ships all over the U.S., this is the first that is this accessible. I was touring with a group of Vietnam Navy Veterans and we all were impressed by how much of the ship is open. Our tour guide was a retired 83 year old Master Chief. He was spry and climbed the ladders of... More

Excellent museum models highlighting battleship development. The New Jersey's many battle honors made it an honor to tour her. It was great to stand where Halsey once stood on the flag bridge. It's a one of a kind museum experience crawling inside a 16-inch gun turret. There was Some confusion following the self-guided tour lines. We received helpful directions from... More

I enjoyed visiting the great battleship. I had to give a date that was listed, but it was the year before 2013 that I visited the battleship

Finally took the time to visit the Battleship NJ and were not disappointed. It's an important piece os US history and you owe it to yourself to visit it. The guides were very informative and the self guided tour was wonderful. Entrance fees are extremely reasonable
