Wife and I went there for the 4th of July to watch the fireworks. We had been there previously to tour the ship, and it is well worth your time and effort to do so. While it is not handicap accessible, people with disabilities can still come on board and see some of the basics. Expect to do a lot... More

This was a nice way to spend about an hour & a half visiting a great historical relic so close to home. No matter where you are from it is surreal to walk through America's most decorated battleship in naval history. First off here is a travel tidbit. Allow yourself enough time to visit the Adventure Aquarium practically right next... More

I am a veteran . I am extremely disappointed on how this ship is set up. First off the ferry drops you off and you have over a 1/2 mile walk to get to the ship. The workers letting you into the ship are horrible. The guys that are working on the ship are nice. The guy working the simulator... More

The big ships are always a thrill. The tremendous size and potential is amazing. And this one is small in comparison to what is out here now. Great stop. 2009.

Visiting the real thing is always better than models, pictures and books. Until you actually approach it from a distance, you just can't appreciate the scale. From across the river in Philly, it looks neat. But when you start walking toward it from a distant parking lot, it's like a light house. It just keeps getting bigger. SO DO NOT... More

Five stars for the adventure on board this battleship. Sorry, one star off for the food. George, our guide, led us through turret II with interesting stories and knowledge of what it was like to operate the weapons. He ought to know because he operated them on this same vessel. He was great. We also explored the ship by ourselves... More

Weather: After a long summer of beach, sand, rides, pool, we decided to shift gears by visiting the NJ Battleship. We selected an August day with low humidity because we would be going through all the different levels of the ship, including the more humid lower levels. Cost: The lady at the Ticket Counter was very nice to honor an... More

I purchased a Groupon for four general admissions to the ship for my family. We decided not to upgrade to the recorded tour, as staff informed us that reading would suffice. My family and I had a really good time exploring the ship on our own, and couldn't believe how huge it was! My boys expected it to be boring,... More

The USS New Jersey moored at Camden New Jersey is the most decorated battleship in American history. To this maritime orientated Brit with the diminutive HMS Belfast the largest accessible WW2 battlewagon to hand, the New Jersey at over four times the size, is immense. New Jersey was completed and served in WW2, with additional tours at Korea, Vietnam and... More

The Battleship New Jersey is moored in Camden, NJ. This ship was the biggest battleship built for the navy. History comes alive as you board the ship and begin to explore its decks. The massive 16" guns, capable of throwing a projectile up to 23 miles went along way in assisting ground troops during assaults of enemy positions. You can... More
