It's a must see if ur in the area. We went to both the aquarium and here and we were able to pay for parking only once and just walked over. It was so much fun I just wish my 3yr old would not have rushed us. I would love to go back again when he's older. We bought our... More

I took my 13 y.o. niece to the New Jersey (more for me than for her). Nothing can prepare you for the massive scale of the thing. It was fantastic to see her begin to understand what went on in the world back in the '40's and why ships like the New Jersey were needed. Standing under the big guns... More

I'm definitely biased because of my connection to the Navy, but this was a great tour of a huge WWII battleship that saw action right up to the Gulf War. This ship is the most decorated battleship in the US Navy history and it has a ton of stories to tell. The self guided audio tour provides information at stops... More

I went with my son and his Cub Scout group. The ship has an overnight option for groups, it's and educational experience so main requirement is the group has children under 18 and adults are there to chaperon. We were there on a Friday night and they had a total of approx 200 people, mostly scouting groups but their was... More

Visited the Battleship New Jersey and really enjoyed the day. I would highly recommend the $4 audio tour to enhance your experience. Only one of our family members decided to get the audio tour and they learned many facts that the rest of us missed. (The ship is huge and there's lots of climbing narrow steps and galley doorways so... More

We went with our 3-year old son, he was ecstatic discovering every inch of this historic Battleship. You can go by yourself or in a group tour to see all the important places around the ship. It took us almost 3 hours to do the tour. We went on a windy cold day but you spent a lot of time... More

Joined my son and grandson's scout troop 302 for an encampment on March 21-22, 2015. Would highly recommend getting there a bit early to enjoy the flight simulator before the crowds arrive. The tour of the ship was quite enjoyable and interesting . JT offered interesting facts of the ship while injecting a bit of humor here and there. We... More

This awesome piece of American War history is not to be missed. It's unfortunate that it is not fully handicap accessible (an elevator, if operational could take the handicap to the main deck) but a ship of war is not meant for anyone who was not able bodied. The guns and ammo of the ship were awesome as was seeing... More

Not sure why it took us so long to visit -- but sure glad we did! What an amazing history lesson and a page from the past. Words just can not describe how emotionally moving it is to listen to the tour guides recant what took place on this dynamic vessel. Please take advantage of its location and visit....you'll be...
