Joined my son and grandson's scout troop 302 for an encampment on March 21-22, 2015. Would highly recommend getting there a bit early to enjoy the flight simulator before the crowds arrive. The tour of the ship was quite enjoyable and interesting . JT offered interesting facts of the ship while injecting a bit of humor here and there. We... More

This awesome piece of American War history is not to be missed. It's unfortunate that it is not fully handicap accessible (an elevator, if operational could take the handicap to the main deck) but a ship of war is not meant for anyone who was not able bodied. The guns and ammo of the ship were awesome as was seeing... More

Not sure why it took us so long to visit -- but sure glad we did! What an amazing history lesson and a page from the past. Words just can not describe how emotionally moving it is to listen to the tour guides recant what took place on this dynamic vessel. Please take advantage of its location and visit....you'll be... We tried the fireworksthis year. Bought tickets online. We went about 50 minute early on a very cold night. It was cold. there was an area inside that was very crowded and hot. We stood on the side rail for 30 minutes waiting for the fireworks. They did have outside bar serice and some food inside.Bathroooms probably were hard to... More

We recently spent the weekend in Philadelphia and went across the river to Camden, NJ to visit the Battleship New Jersey. My husband, 10-year old son and I equally enjoyed it. The docents (including senior citizen, middle and college ages) were friendly and incredibly knowledgeabl about the New Jersey's incredibly history. A "must see" if you're in the Philly area.

First let me start out by wishing everyone a Happy 2015. We decided that we wanted to watch the Philadelphia/Camden 2015 NYE fireworks from someplace different. I decided to purchase 2 tickets to the Battleship New Jersey for $10 each. The website and ticket purchase was extremely easy and I was able to download my tickets in minutes. The battleship... Visited here the day after seeing Independence Seaport Museum - the ferry from Penns Landing over to Camden does not run during the winter months so we rented a car for our trip knowing this in advance. It's free to go over the bridge from Philly on the outbound but a $5 toll on the way back. There were a... More

What a piece of history! Easy access and beautiful waterfront. Great people here also. It may seem expensive, but just remember what you are seeing and doing here. This is a history lesson, a life lesson and an engineering marvel. Lives were changed and history was written and you get to be a part of it. You can walk the... More

Loved going here. We made it through almost to the end before the young boys started getting bored. It was really interesting and a lot of fun. Something every American should experience!!

This is a really nice place to visit. It is located on the Camden waterfront, next to Adventure Aquarium, and a short car or boat ride across the Delaware river from Philadelphia. You are able to go on the ship and take a tour and learn the history of this battleship. You can walk through the different sections of the... More
