Had a very enjoyable visit to the aquarium. Nice displays, and easy to see most habitats. A number of exhibits had multiple viewing levels and locations, allowing you to see the creatures from different perspectives. Most displays were also close to the floor level, allowing easy viewing by young folks. Several locations allowed interaction with sharks, rays, star fish, etc.... More

Hot day two small children - we spend 4 hours in this aquarium, the hippos a huge highlight. I have been to many different aquariums and never experience the hippos ! Downtown Philly, car parking ample we arrived as the centre was opening - had lunch in the complex and went back for a last look of the hippos. Don't... More

This is probably the best aquarium I've ever been too. They had a diverse range of sea and water life here - alligators, hippos, penguins, stingrays, sharks, sea turtles, etc. My favorite part was getting able to interact with and pet the stingrays - such an amazing experience. The Shark tube was mind blowing - seeing so many sharks surrounding... More

Parking is a bit pricey in the nearby parking lot, but my elderly father and I still felt safe despite visiting one of the most dangerous cities in the country according to various online reviews. The aquarium is very interesting in depicting the aquatic life of the area and the view of downtown Philly is rather picturesque.

We enjoyed our visit- our 3, 7, And 10 year old were able to tour in 3 hours. The layout makes it so your not feeling herded like the Baltimore aquarium. The hippos were amazing- as well as the shark tunnel. Several touch tanks and feeding shows. Negatives: food was pricey and served cold- ick. Free refills were nice though.... More

As aquariums go, this one is on the small side with a confusing layout. It always seems crowded no matter when we go, but that being said, small children love it. My son and his family have an annual pass which is a great value if you plan multiple visits with a large family. My grandchildren from 2 to 10... More

Just over $130 for three adults and two children, plus $10 to park and $7 cheeseburgers! Maybe I'm a little out of touch, but those prices put me off from the start. The cost must be acceptable to a lot of people. The place, even though pretty tacky, was quite crowded. We spent about two hours moving the children along... More

My boyfriend and I checked out the Adventure Aquarium this weekend and we weren't really impressed. We love going to aquariums and we've been to quite a few but this one didn't "WOW" us. It was very geared towards children and it was confusing to maneuver through. We couldn't find some sections and I feel as if we missed a... More

We go to this aquarium often and think it is one of the best for families in the US. The new hippo exhibit is incredible. The annual membership is a very affordable and cost effective way to enjoy the aquarium. Very reasonable parking as well.

This is a nice little aquarium for the kids. There is a walk through tunnel to see sharks and sting rays swiming over and around you. The Hippo exibit is great, especially when they feed them and they come right up to the glass where you are standing. You can also touch and feed the stingrays. Our son had a... More
