Love light houses? Old Barney is the place to see. When you are there you can fish, have a picnic, walk around the couple shops that are there, even visit the Viking village, or walk the jetty. It's always a great day at the light house.

I visited this lighthouse a couple of times when I was in the area. The parking is great, facilities clean, and the views are amazing. I loved the view from the top. You could see the ocean for miles! Beautiful!

Awesome little gem on LBI - the climb isnt too bad, but it can get hot in there. The veiw from the top is spectacular and well worth the climb. the historical pictures and story boards on the way up are fascinating - they tell the story of how the lighthouse operated and how the keepers had to haul oil... It feels like you are at the tip of the world! So serene and clear the water at this point of the New Jersey shoreline! Bring a sweater unless it is the heat of summer. A few hours can fly by with simple conversation while watching the shorebirds drift in and around the lighthouse! Enjoy! the Lovely Sea breeze in... More

A bit quieter than the rest of LBI and a bit of a ride through "speed checked" roadway... Great family location with the best beach in the USA...

Anyone who has grown up visiting LBI knows that this is the iconic symbol of the island. It is THE place to visit. Absolutely don't miss it! Walking to the top of the lighthouse provides a good workout and gorgeous views. The park has some trails and a concrete jetty before the rocks, so you can really enjoy the views... More

If you are ever on Long Beach Island, going to the lighthouse is one of those things you just have to do. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is located on the northern tip of Long Beach Island in the town of Barnegat Light. There is a huge parking lot inside the park and a smaller one directly outside. The most obvious... More

This was a beautiful park...great activity to do with the family. We went to the top of the lighthouse, which was great for amazing views down the coast and taking pictures. Wouldn't recommend if you're claustrophobic though...the way up and down is a single file staircase and very small. The rest of the park is very nice for a long... More
