We chose this company because they are connected to a research team and because they are committed to protecting whales. Very knowledgable staff. Saw several whales, ocean sunfish and sea birds. Very reasonable price but be aware this isn't a luxury boat.

With a 99% success rate on seeing whales, I knew this was the place for me. While they can't guarantee you are going to see whales, they spot them 99% of the time. If you don't see whales, they offer you a voucher to return for free within the next 2 years. The cruise was very educational. They had a... More

This was my first whale watch experience, and I thought I'd see whales in the distance with binoculars, if we were lucky. As it turned out, we saw several whales and a shark quite close to the boat. The captain was adept at maneuvering to put us in proximity of the whales, ensuring their safety and a good view for... More

From the beginning (making reservations) to the very end (saying goodbye to the boat crew) our experience with Granite State Whale Watch was supreme. Very professional staff, super clean boat with lots of room to move about, and many whales, dolphins, and harbor seals to see and experience. We were fortunate to see humpback whales, a fin whale, minke whales... More

The people running the whale watch were professional and courteous. Three students were along to narrate what we were seeing in terms of sea life, which as easy to follow as one student walked around showing pictures of what we might see to passengers as we headed out to sea. Do NOT forget sunscreen.

This was definitely worth the fee. Compared to other places the were more affordable. We had a very successfull watch sighting five whales and seeing some of them multiple times and close up. The kids loved it!!!!!

I loved this cruise; educational and exciting! Staff were uniformly helpful and knowledgable from even the first phone contact. Their enthusiasm and ability to convey details about marine species raise this cruise above the average tourist trip. We saw multiple minke whales and a rare right whale in addition to a huge sunfish or two. Highly recommended! We will go... More

A successful trip in my book, saw 5 different whales, all the whales stayed near the surface so we got several views of each, one came so close I thought it would hit the boat. I recommend warm clothing as the temperature out at sea is a little cooler and as the boat travels it cools a couple more degrees.... More

This is a great whale watch. We saw four fin whales and 6 minke whales. The Gulf of Maine is fascinating. The water is dark has a little chop. If you fixate on the water it begins to look like there is a whale or dolphin on every wave. The ocean is alive and bristling with sea creatures. We went... More

We planned this visit the night before and boy what a pleasant surprise. Obtaining tickets was very easy online and we went to the office to get them. The boat was very pleasant for a tour boat. We sat into upper level and got great views of water and islands. Once we the areas of whales wow what a great... More
