Rumney attracts climbers from around the globe. There are tons of routes set up for unlimited climbs. The Rumney Climbing Guide is a must. Most routes are graded pretty accurately too. If you like sport climbing, Rumney is a must! Good routes for every level. It can be very crowded on the weekends as it is the premier sport climbing spot in the area – can be a little chaotic with lots of big groups, kids, dogs and waits for some of the classic, popular routes. South facing crags make for comfortable Fall climbing. The variety of routes at every grade means everyone in the group can get their lead on.

If you are a sport climber Rumney is not to be missed. There are hundreds of bolted rock climbing routes for great protection at levels from into beginner to advanced expert. It is also fun to watch climbers from the bases of the cliffs. Several local guides will teach you to rock climb if you have never done it before.... More
