Nice boat, good narration of area. We went with another couple & enjoyed seeing all the sites. The location of the dock is right downtown.
We had an excellent experience on our private charter this month, the Heritage. The White Apron delivered the food promptly and the charter staff handled setup and display. Our group of 22 corporate clients had the boat to ourselves and a full bar of spirits and hot tea to keep us warm. The price was unbeatable and the staff were... More
We visited during their last week of operation and had a pleasant trip. In fall you'll want a warm coat and hat, although there is a windowed internal cabin if it's chilly. We spotted 2 seals along with many historical sights and, though the trip was sold out, there was enough room on the boat to move around from side... More
We had family in from out of town and decided to take a Harbor Cruise. Being from the area, it's something we had never done before either. The cruise was very informative about the harbor and we got to see a lot of interesting places all from the water. The boat is comfortable with seating all around the boat, restrooms,... More
This was one of the best things we did on our New England trip. The boat was smaller than I expected, which meant that we didn't go out into the Atlantic because the water was too rough. But it was large enough to have a small snack bar and toilets. The narrative was interesting and the harbor itself was very... More
We were very lucky and the weather was perfect. The cruise leaves from downtown old Portsmouth. It is about 1 1/2 hours which is perfect. Our guide and boat captain was very knowledgeable about the whole area. This was at one time a very active naval shipyard. Now it is where they decommission old subs one of which we could... More
I recently went on the harbour tour and we had a great time. The tour guide was informative and funny and we got some great pictures. They serve food and drinks on board. Well worth the money!
Long enough to be informative and interesting but short enough so that the kids did not get bored. We were two adults and three children, ages 3, 8 and 12. The Portsmouth harbor was once a thriving shipyard employing some 40,000 workers during WWII turning out many naval war vessels. Some of that work is still visible during our cruise... More
The 1 1/2 hour cruise around the bay gave us great views of the Maine and New Hampshire coast. The lighthouse, old federal jail and beautiful homes were quite a sight to see.
