We made a return visit to this theatre after a ten year break. We we very disappointed at what met us at the front door. The theatre is very run down and the front hallway was a mess. This used to be such a nice place to visit. As for what was on stage, Godspell, a rather outdated production. There... More

We make the 2-hour trip at least twice a year and have never been disappointed or let down. The actors/actresses are amazing! Its great seeing local talent shine, We normally see musicals, (Damn Yankees, Gypsy,... More

A friend and I came here to see "8 Track: Sounds of the 70's" recently. It is a musical review of popular music from the 1970's, complete with platform shoes, bell-bottom pants and flower power. The theater itself is intimate and is built on multi-levels, giving every patron an unobstructed view... though it can be tricky to navigate the steep... More

this is a very small theater, so all the seats are good ones. Be careful if you are lucky enough to sit in the first row, not to knock over a prop like I did, talk about turning red. We can't wait to visit again

I hadn't been to a show at Seacoast Rep for several years, but I was happy that I made the drive from Massachusetts last weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Pirates of Penzance. They have talented and enthusiastic cast that provided a delightful show. The singing and acting were strong throughout the show. Everyone on stage looked as though they were... More

Seacoast Repertory Theatre is a small hole in the wall kind of venue. Don't let that fool you. It's small strategic seating capacity clustered around a small Stage, makes for a very up close theater experience. I've seen plays like "42nd Street", "Sweeney Todd", and most recently, "Hair". I have yet to be disappointed by any of this theater's productions.... More

My husband and I saw "A Christmas Story" at the Seacoast Rep in November. The acting was great, including some very talented children, the scenery worked as did the special effects. Well worth the time and money.

Seacoast Rep is a jewel in Portsmouth. Production quality is consistently high, variety of offerings is strong and a dedicated staff makes seeing a production something you'll remember. It's located on the river bank right downtown in historic Portsmouth. Extraordinary restaurants are nearby and pubs for after the show are everywhere.

Hubby and I stayed at the Ale House which is up above this quaint theatre and received complimentary tickets to the show. The play The Odd Couple is running until November 10th. We had great seats, I actually don't think there is a bad seat in the house as it is well laid out. We were able to purchase a... More
