We visit "The Monkey" a few times a year for live entertainment, ski films or movies. On a couple of occasions we have purchased the VIP package with dinner, and table seating. We love the balcony. The food offerings with the dinner package are just mediocre - not measuring up to the Common Man fare at other venues. Table service... More

Saw Taj Mahal here last week and the show was fantastic. The acoustics were really good and the theatre is small and intimate. We sat at a table and had dinner and drinks. I don't recommend the tables - the seats were low and I felt like I was 10 again. The tables were very close together and I felt... More

This is an excellent small venue. Great intimate concert. We saw The Doors tribute band "Through the Doors". The tickets for this show were very reasonably priced. There are no 'bad' seats here. This was our first visit and we will definitely return. That being said I would not recommend the dinner option. The Flying Monkey does not have a... More

The Flying Monkey is one of the best small venues to see a concert. We have seen some great shows there. They continue to get top quality shows there. I will never have a bad word to say about their shows. There is always something to see for everyone. I've been to about a dozen shows over the past 2... More

First visit to the Flying Monkey for a concert by one of our favorite bands. Venue was great for an intimate concert experience. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful/efficient. Restrooms were clean well stocked, though they were down a flight of stairs. Definitely a great place to see any time of show. Only drawback is the lack of parking in... More

We recently started to go to the Flying Monkey for live performance events. The venue is very interesting. It's most recent life was as a movie theater. It is no owned by the Common Man group and the facility shows musical acts, commedy, "Cirque" type acts and more. It even has a section for dining where you stay at your... More

First time to visit the Flying Monkey. Experienced dinner and a show for the first time. Thought that it was really great tha the manager took the time to speak with a large number of those attending the show. I had the LOBSTER mac & cheese was really good. The price was fair market. I will return again.

We reserved a table so we could have dinner prior to the show. The meal was great. It included a salad, entree, rice pilaf and a vegatable. We went to see Judy Collins. Excellent audio and view of the stage. They have a great variety of shows and I plan to return again.

I have been to a number of shows at the Flying Monkey. It is an outstanding venue that brings me back to the old Fillmore and Music Hall shows. It is smaller than the above which is a plus. I have even seen some of the same performers/groups that I saw 40 years ago at the above venues. We are... More

You can hear and see well anywhere in this theater. They book acts that come to Boston so I love it as I do not have to travel as far. The food is so-so. I suggest eating first but the venue is great. It is an old vaudeville stage. Well designed and has a balcony. Alcohol as well as soft... More
