Went to see the Yardbirds here. Excellent concert! My first time to the flying monkey and I enjoyed the place. They did a great job restoring the old theater. Seating is comfortable. The sound volume was WAY too loud! My wife and I were glad we brought our ear plugs. Seriously, we shouldn't have to wear ear plugs! We value... More

I won 4 tickets to attend a concert (The Gibson Brothers) at The Flying Monkey. It was my first visit, and now, will not be the last. It was a fantastic venue. Not to big and not to small, it was clean and comfortable and had a friendly, accommodating staff. I can't wait to go again.

We saw John Hiatt there with a group of friends. The food and service was fantastic and the concert was wonderful (because we love John Hiatt!) But also the sound as good and the venue was small enough that you could feel connected with the performers. We went out back after the concert and got photos and autographs with the... More

I've been there twice now, but not had dinner there either time. I'd like to, though. The food looks good and i like the idea of sitting in the back of the hall and dining. Both music shows I saw (Lee Ann Womack, and the Gibson Brothers) were really good, with a very congenial audience.

Hadn't been to the Monkey in a number of years, and decided it was time for a return visit. Glad I did! It was an excellent show, and the Monkey itself was a fun, relaxed, intimate place to see it. The seats are comfortable, the sound was good, the site lines seem good (I was only 7 rows from the... More

Great venue for movies and live shows in an old movie house that has been renovated. Great seating as well as food service. Owned by the people behind the Common Man group of restaurants in NH. Live show we attended was excellent and, for a change, the sound was not excessively and unpleasantly loud.

Food was outstanding. Entertainment that night was the Kingston Trio. Please don't miss their show. Service was not as good as I expected. Waiter must have been new.

The Kingston Trio......Fantastic. Food.......excellent Service.......absolutely abysmal. The waiter had to be asked three times for dessert. No refills of water even offered. Brought bill, even though VIP deal included everything except alcohol and gratuity.

I've been to a few shows at the flying monkey. Although it is in a college town, their target audience seems to be geared towards people over 50. The venue itself is gorgeous! Very old timey with lots of history. You are not allowed to dance. I think they worry that the floor will cave in. The people they book... More

We visit "The Monkey" a few times a year for live entertainment, ski films or movies. On a couple of occasions we have purchased the VIP package with dinner, and table seating. We love the balcony. The food offerings with the dinner package are just mediocre - not measuring up to the Common Man fare at other venues. Table service... More
