When entering the establishment instead of being warmly greeted, we found that the woman at the cashier was extremely rude. She seemed bothered with our presence, which completely turned my mood around at the beginning of what was supposed to be a nice day. Furthermore, the manner in which she spoke to us was completely unprofessional, and had they not... More

This place has the BEST staff ever. I have been coming here for years with a group and they are always so friendly and so knowledgable. They're fast to get us to the river, always on time to pick us up, and have really good canoes and kayaks for rental that I've personally never had a problem with. I highly... More

Nothing fancy, just a good kayaking experience for the young adults in my party. They have doing this with Northern Extremes for the last several years and always have a good time.

Well run operation. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We did the 7 mile kayak and left at 9am and had the river to ourselves for the most part. we finished earlier than expected, called to check if we could have early pick up and the owner picked us up. Would rent from from every time. Good price great... More

This was a blast! My husband and I rented a tandem kayak for the 5.5 mile trip. There are three different length trips that you could choose from depending on the time you want to spend out there. The company drives you up the river, unloads the kayak and supplies the life jackets. They provide a map of your route... More

Thankfully they have been so accommodating to our varying needs and we go back each year to rent kayaks for the day down Saco! We are looking forward to 2015!!

My husband, step-daughter, and I went down the Saco for a Father's Day tubing adventure. We all loved it. My step-daughter is 8 and I was nervous that she may not enjoy the tubing. She said it was "way cooler than the water park!"

My family does not ski, and we found ourselves in North Conway at the end of March with nothing to do. We signed up for the family package for two snowmobiles for two hours. We did have to rent snow pants, and gloves, which was an added cost I was not excited about. It was a beautiful day and I... More

Northern Extremes accommodated a large group of us as we rented kayaks ($25) for a paddle down the Saco River. The guide drove us to a drop off location. He told us to expect shallow water and suggested we steer either to the right or left in certain locations, but we still got stranded and hung up on the rocks.... More
