We didn't take the train, but made a visit to the train station. So much of it is original and very interesting to see even if you don't want to ride the train. It is a rare treat for someone my age to see a train station so well preserved.

We're so glad that DisneyHeart enjoyed a visit to our station recently. The station, roundhouse, and freight house all date back to 1874 and are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. We took the scenic ride and regretted it. The train takes the same route going as coming back and it isn't as scenic as they want you to believe since the ride goes through a lot of forest areas where there is nothing worth while seing.

Yes, since all of our excursions are roundtrip, the train ride taken by Cookie1010 did take the same route both ways. On our website, on Facebook, and in our advertising, we promote an authentic, old-fashioned railroading experience here. Scenery is just one component of that experience.

We took a ride on the railroad. It had great scenery. We relaxed and enjoyed the view. Great little store back at the station. A nice way to spend a little time for an affordable price.

Went with my two grandsons and my son and daughter-in-law. The boys loved it.
Just wish it were a longer ride. They want to go back when they are here. It was fun and the scenery was nice.

Not sure how old the boys are, but we're hosting Day Out With Thomas here in July. It's hugely popular with the 2-6 year old crowd! If they're older and would like to meet an engineer, let me know when you're planning another visit, and I'll make arrangements for a picture!
