I love the white mountains. I like to hike in to spots that are remote and hard to get to. This is not one of those spots. You can drive to the top of the ledge so, as you can guess, it's covered with tourists. A lot of whom have no business being on top of a mountain. This spot... More

This was a rather short drive to the top . There was a woman rock climbing with her teenaged son so it was fun watching her arrive at the top. This is fenced for safety. I would recommend very sturdy shoes. Even though I was being extremely careful I slid on the gravel and landed on the ground. For those... More

My husband and I drove up to the top of Cathedral Ledge and then hiked up on the rocks to see an even better sight. A little more challenging hike, not for a novice

Drive to the top for great views over the State Park and of the Presidential Range. There is a walk from Echo lake state park car park. It follows the lakeside around approx half of the lake then a gentle walk up takes you to the foot of the ledge where the climbers start their ascent.

This was a first visit to North Conway. Google Maps points out places of interest as does Trip Advisor. So, once there, it was a must. First we found the White Mountain Golf resort where we had lunch. That is "down the road a piece". The we ventured up the road to the circle parking area. This is not a... More

Tough climb, not for the faint of heart. Mid level climber can handle the lower section, but beyond that, you'll need a guide and some serious equipment, and health insurance, its huge!!.

You can park in the 'circle' and walk up to this area. It's not a long walk, but once you get out there, it's beautiful. They have a fence around the rock area to avoid any accidents. A must see if you're in this area.
