We had to come back! We visited New Hampshire and was told to check this landmark out about 4 years ago. When we came back to NH, we made the hour drive just to take more pictures and take in the view again. It was freezing the day we went (5/20/15), glad we stopped by the outlets and had some... More

Great views of the valley. easy walk out to the ledges. You can take your dog but I would reccomend a leash. If you are afraid of heights you may want to reconsider this attraction.

You can either walk up the road or drive to the top it is beautiful at the top. You can see Echo Lake and some farm landscape. The top is all fenced in so you do not have to worry about your children running around. You can also watch the climbers rock climb up the side. It was nice.

We drove up since the gate was open. A short walk in the woods and we were at the edge. It was a nice view but nothing exceptional

When the gate is open, you can even drive up to the top and enjoy a short walk over to view Echo Lake and Whitehorse Ledge as well.

Incredible view of the White Mountain/North Conway area. Short hike if you just want to look at the view, but other hiking trails are available as well. Not for people with mobility issues - there are rocks to climb over to get to the viewing site.

Really neat place to go to see the entire area, and you can get close to the edge (be careful if you're afraid of heights)

This is a great winter hike as it is closed to auto traffic during the winter months but is open to snow machines. Micro spikes, sleds, snowshoes, skis, you name it, you can go up there. Beautiful views year round. Short hike from parking lot to views but also trails all around for hiking.

we have done a couple routes on Cathedral Ledge. All have been great. Beautiful views and some challenging problems. It was funny to climb up to where people were enjoying the overlook. We were a surprise for them!

Excellent ice climbing options ranging from easy to hard are all close at hand to North Conway. Most recently, I enjoyed the winter experience there and despite the very heavy snow of the year was able to get on excellent ice. Some routes are a bit snowed under but the longer ones are great still.
