The Mount Washington Valley is just as awesome in winter as summer or fall, or maybe even better. Skiing at Cranmore, right in Norrth Conway, with great places to eat and scenic beauty all around. Went during the week so it wasn't too crowded, Cross country skiing conditions haven't been so good, but Jackson Ski Touring was groomed and beautiful.... More

Want to eat or shop then there is lots to do here in the valley. Don't be afraid to go off the beaten path and check out some of the gallery's and crafts and antiques throughout the valley. Starting the hike via a less popular trail is an excellent option! There are less people, there are some beautiful outlooks, and many opportunities to walk and admire the scenery! The climbing is difficult but not as it can be with the most famous trail... or at least, I think! we did the Tuckerman Ravine Trail on the way back... More
