Fun hike with great views of the Franconia Ridge

Fun hike, never too steep, great area at the top to sit and have some lunch and soak in the views on a clear day.

Poor quality food for the price. I would not go back. Poor quality beef in the prime rib. Nothing was great. There is a nice view of the mountains from the windows. It looks old and outdated in the dining room

Nice sized rooms, great pool, big pond for fishing and paddle boating. Entertainment in the pub most nights. Great breakfasts in the restaurant. Had lunch in the restaurant one day and that was only so-so. Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and had a couple of minor room maintenance issues. Overall a good place. We'd go back.

One of the best high end Motels in NH. This place is a great resort with everything. The views in the front and back are the best! The gift shop is Great! Staff is Great! Paddle boats!

We wanted to see the Indian Head, and we did right from the parking lot. We walked around the property and took some fantastic pictures of the mountains and of course the Indian Head. We hit the Gift Shop and it was nice to browse.

My husband and I had a great hike up the trail. Plan on a half day hike which allows plenty of time to get up and down with thirty minutes of rest time on the top to enjoy the views. The hike was moderate intensity with the most challenging part about the last half mile to the top.

Make sure you pull off the side of the road to catch a glimpse or a pix of this. Mother Nature did a great job but someday this will go the way of the Old Man of The Mountain so if you are in the area it is worth taking a few to marvel at this formation.

Indian Head resort hotel (the hotel is the actual spot) is in need of renovations. There is a teepee and a totem pole to take your picture in front of. The hotel does have a decent pool (and sometime good entertainment on the weekends (but it's hit or miss, I've been here a few different times throughout the years). Rooms... More

On route 3 across from Indian Head Resort. You can see the head of an Indian in the rock formation. Easier to see on a sunny or at least partly sunny day,

We had a wonderful time at IHR, we are a 55 plus community that stayed , ate, and was entertained at IHR. We had a wonderful time. It needs a little updating but we had a great time.
