Certainly rather a unique name for this business! The Hobo Railroad travels through a naturally wooded setting along the twisting Pemigewasset River, just a few minutes away from the wonders of Franconia Notch State Park. Nestled in the town of Lincoln, NH on the western end of the popular Kancamagus Highway, riding the railway, offers a chance to relax, wave... More

We took a ride on the Hobo Railroad on Monday, June 29, 2015. The weather was overcast and that seemed to make it better. The parking lot was wide open. We arrived 10 minutes before the 11:00 AM train departed and had no problem getting tickets and boarding. A lunch is available for purchase for $10 PBJ or $12 for... More

Glad we (family of 4 -- 13 and 16 yr old teens) did not pay full price for our tickets (Living Social deal). Visited during the evening in February. Did not have to wait in line (thankful because we did not think it is worth a wait) and went right in, with no major crowds on Thursday during NH school... More

We've been to the Hobo Railroad on a couple of occasions over the past year. Once for the Santa train ride and just this past weekend for the ice castle. Both times we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff are always friendly and courteous and the "value" is pretty good considering it being a tourist destination.

I wish the ice castles had their own attraction to review here- as I can not speak to the Hobo Railroad itself. The Ice Castles were amazing, we saw the night show- and seeing them lit up with the music playing was beautiful! Would highly recommend wearing snow pants, and allowing enough time to park. It was nice not to... More

The experience was fun and the price was good, $15 total for an adult and child. The tunnels and ice slides made it an icy adventure. It was just right for young kids, although some parents braved them too. We went late afternoon to see the ice in daylight but then once the sun set the lights were awesome. They... More

My family and I took a train ride which started out fun but after about 10 minutes the lack of scenery and the turtle pace speed I had a tough time keeping my eyes open; and most kids got pretty restless (the route takes you to the Jack O Lantern golf course and then just turns around).

The Ice a Castle in this location is a lot better than when it was a Loon mtn. We went on a Sunday night and there was plenty of parking and no line for prepaid ticket holders. The castle is so neat! There are lights that synchronize with music. Olaf is there to take a picture in front of. There... More

Winter is upon you and the weather is cold, snowy and everything you've come to expect it to be, as the old saying says "if you can't beat them join them". The ice castles in Lincoln uses the cold and ice to maximum effect by creating a winter wonderland out of towering sheets of ice and caverns illuminated softly by... More

My husband and I took the 2.5 hour drive to see this beauty for our Anniversary. We received tickets for Christmas. We stayed locally to do shopping and visit local businesses. We didn't run into a traffic problem, probabley because we happen to travel durring an unexpected Ice Storm. I wanted to arrive so we could see both day &... More
