Hobo Railroad has a great train ride, and offers dining packages for dinner and lunch. The Mini golf is a Must!!!
My husband and I along with our 6 month old took an hour long train ride in September to see the autumn foliage. If you know what to expect than this will be a good experience. It is a basic train ride where they take you forward and back to see some sights you would not normally. It is for... More
Bought tickets...man are they pricey...($280 for three kids, two adults) for 1.5 hr ride to the North Pole, visit with Santa and Elves and return ride. We arrived and were met with large but managable crowds, boarded train fairly easily, served hot chocolate (good), chocolates (good), and given a scarf with PE logo (nice). Server on our train was dressed... More
At this time of year, there are many Christmas train trips being offered. I can highly recomend the Santa Train in Lincoln, NH. Yesterday afternoon, I took my 2 grandchildren, ages 5 & 7. From ticketing on things were top notch. there was a mix of ages, from babies to grandparents. Soon, we were given a nice box of assorted... More
We stumbled upon the Hobo Railroad, Santa Train on our way to Santa's Villiage. We decided to give it a try. It was a wonderful experience for the kids. We were served hot chocolate and cookies while elves passed out letters for the kids to write to Santa. Then Santa made his way through the train say hello to the... More
We bought our tickets for the Hobo railroad from the UK as we thought it would be very popular being Columbus weekend and in the leaf peeper season. We couldn’t book online as their web site doesn’t accept UK credit cards so we had to call to reserve. The lady at the end of the phone was very friendly and... More
This is just what I wanted a 1 1/2 hr train ride on a vintage train to see some fall colors. The young kids that served the lunch were so friendly and efficient. The colors were peaking the first week in October. It was rainy but it didn't dampen the colors or the scenery. Great value, great for kids.
This was our son's first train ride - he was very excited and loved sitting at the table in the train car. There was not much of a view - mostly rolling through backyards and next to the river/industrial yards. The train stops halfway through at a golf course and the reverses to go back to the start. We were... More
The Hobo train ride is 1 hour 20 minutes. Initially, we thought it would be too long for young children (grandchildren ages 2 and 5), but it was actually just right. It was a great "first" train ride. The train travels through woods along a river. It stops about a half hour into the trip before heading back. At that... More
Maybe a little too relaxing for kids. :-) In hindsight, I wish I had brought some crayons and paper, because the view alone was not enough to keep my kids interested. But overall we had a nice ride, peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches, and great views of the Pemi River. The mini golf course (next door) was fun, too.
