We took the one-hour train ride. The conductor, Leo?, was very amusing. He took the time to sit and talk with the passengers about where we were from and what our plans were. The serving staff was very good at handing out snacks quickly. It might be better if there were menus or snack lists available. The balloon guy was... More

Great family attraction. Exciting Train ride. Real nice Mimi Golf course. Has a huge gift shop. This is a must see place. A little pricy but worth it.

The train ride itself is kind of boring. There are a few nice, scenic spots when you cross over the river but most of the time there's trees on both sides. The ride is about 90 minutes and during that 90 minutes they came by 3 times with trays of drinks, snacks, and ice cream trying to sell us overpriced... More

This is an attraction ONLY for children. The write up on the web site is as follows: "Travel through a natural setting along the twisting Pemigewassett River. just a few minutes away from Franconia Notch and the White Mountain National Forest. You can relax, wave to the swimmers, kayakers & tubers." The train choo choos along very slowly, and the... More

While the Hobo Railroad is obviously a family venue, I rode it as a solo older adult at the end of June. It was a good ride through wooded areas and along the scenic Pemigewasset River. I opted for lunch on board the train when I bought my ticket. When you initially purchase your lunch, you might think you are... More

Went with the younger grandchildren, they had a ball. They loved the ride, counting the bridges and how many times we crossed the Pemi.

Certainly rather a unique name for this business! The Hobo Railroad travels through a naturally wooded setting along the twisting Pemigewasset River, just a few minutes away from the wonders of Franconia Notch State Park. Nestled in the town of Lincoln, NH on the western end of the popular Kancamagus Highway, riding the railway, offers a chance to relax, wave... More

We took a ride on the Hobo Railroad on Monday, June 29, 2015. The weather was overcast and that seemed to make it better. The parking lot was wide open. We arrived 10 minutes before the 11:00 AM train departed and had no problem getting tickets and boarding. A lunch is available for purchase for $10 PBJ or $12 for... More

We've been to the Hobo Railroad on a couple of occasions over the past year. Once for the Santa train ride and just this past weekend for the ice castle. Both times we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff are always friendly and courteous and the "value" is pretty good considering it being a tourist destination.

I wish the ice castles had their own attraction to review here- as I can not speak to the Hobo Railroad itself. The Ice Castles were amazing, we saw the night show- and seeing them lit up with the music playing was beautiful! Would highly recommend wearing snow pants, and allowing enough time to park. It was nice not to... More
