Loon Mt is a good place to visit even if you are not a skiier. Go in summer or autumn for an enjoyable daytrip. There is a gondola that takes you to the mountain top (takes 12 minutes). Great views during the ride to the top. There is a nice cafe at the top for a quick bite, and lots... more

With newly opened South Peak, Loon Mountain is wonderful mountain for a day trip, weekend getaway, or vacation. The terrain is offered in a very wide veriety and each run is different. Our experience at Loon Mountain was fantastic. We had about ten inches of fresh powder, very little wind, and a variety of trails that kept us challenged all day.
