Great place to just hang around and bring a lunch. The views are well worth the walk in. Cherry Pond is beautiful any time of year. There are two ponds to walk around and many other walking trails. It is a great place to take the family.

We thought we'd give this cut-across a try on our way back from Santa's Village to the Mount Washington Hotel. The road is largely unpaved and was pretty rough, even in our SUV. There is one area of the road that offers a lovely view of a pond but, beyond that, you're basically driving through the woods and there are... More

But have driven over the mountain several times. It's a dirt road, narrow in spots, but the scenery is beautiful. Trees, streams, an occasional waterfall. Many photo ops. We've also seen many animals- moose, bear, fox, on the journey. Not a ride for a low sitting car!!!
